I just bought this for £19.99 on getgamesgo :)

Logged into the account page on the website and it says my guildwars1 account is linked but I can't see anywhere to input the code.
I'm guessing you put the code into the client?

Hopefully will have it downloaded tonight
 
I wish they'd add an in-game clock (from system time) to the client or onto the Logitech Keyboard game panel, they've made the game work with it but damn does the time fly..

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly but you can get the time to display in game on the minimap in the bottom right and it's in the options. You can make it display the time of your own computer or set it to display the server time.
 
Really enjoyd GW1 and seeing this was £19.99 on getgamesgo i couldnt really resist!

I headed over to the official forums and it all seems doom and gloom with people leaving and empty servers? I know every game has the usual suspects on the forums so i'm hoping it's still alive and kicking :)

Any advise for a new player would be great, especially on a good race and professionion to start with :D

Never seen any pop problems.

As usual ignore official forums, they are full of the whiners. The games not perfect yet, still a lot needs fixing but still great fun :)
 
The official GW2 forums are dire. I posted about a bug that I was experiencing, and still am to this day, that causes the text on the TP to be nigh on unreadable if you're using the small UI option. I got a 72 hour suspension for criticising the game.
 
Got my gaming edge back, went into WvW last night on reset and Fissure of Woh (sp?) and Vabbi were our enemies...niether had a very big zerg...until we owned EB, so we went to Vabbi and there, waiting for us, was 2 zergs, side-by-side...a 30 man strong Vabbi group with a 60 man FoW group...much hillarity ensued when just our guild all got into Vabbi and we 'Outnumbered' them...120 + of 1 guild going to war...by 2am (probably earlier) Whiteside Ridge owned all the Borderlands and we called it a night...

Also, I know where I am taking my crazy warrior...I am grinding and farming and stuff for Frostfang...

I think I read somewhere that you have to pick a server at the start of the game. Is this just a case of picking one with a high pop or are there any recommendations?

Thinking about starting as either a warrior or an ele but can't decide between the two :p

Warrior is awesome. I think OCUK is on Desolation, I am on Whiteside Ridge in a 350+ man guild...
 
Picked up this game the other day. Just installed it today but haven't had a chance to play yet. Don't really have any idea what to do so will be interesting.
 
Not doing too great at controlling my player at the moment. I maned to create a charr warrior though which was fun....

How do most people move about? Using the right click or using wasd keys?
