Guilt free Sausages?

Are you seriously comparing the wild animals living in the plains of Africa to farm animals in England?

They wouldn't exist in this country in any meaningful numbers if people didn't eat meat/the products of these animals. The land would almost certainly be used for something else (solar farms/agriculture).

So they wouldn't become extinct then?

Just reduced numbers because no longer required as food.

The only reason why we mass breed them is for food not so we can have more of them or let their populations thrive.

People will still keep them as pets and farms for entertainment purposes for the general public.

No, they likely wouldn't become extinct. Like i said, they wouldn't exist in any meaningful numbers though. As you say, they may be kept for entertainment purposes....and then they will die anyway. I fail to see why that is any better than being bred for meat/produce? The Pig/Cow/Sheep has no concept of how long it should live, or what its purpose for being alive is.

Are you really this dumb or do you not understand that no longer breeding animals for food doesn't mean no more animals?

For example we don't eat lions or giraffes. Yet they are still not extinct. Can you please explain your logic?

Jesus wept.....
I thought you had a braincell. I guess not. Go and read, then understand what farming animals could possibly be referring to, again how on earth you brought "giraffes and ****ing Lions into it, i will never understand how some peoples brains "don't" work. Maybe its Sunday morning? Just looking for a random internet argument to start your day?

I honestly despair at your level of basic understanding. Time and time again you drop down my list of people worth even replying to.

The Earth currently has about 19.6 billion chickens, 1.4 billion cattle, and 980 million pigs being raised as livestock.5 Feb 2015

None of these farmed animals would exist and therefore they cannot suffer as they have only 1 purpose and that is as food.

No they wouldn't keep farm animals as pets. The whole point of petting zoos is to get people accustomed to the things they "eat" and give some kind of very basic connection to something natural when you live in a crappy tower block.

Even if you opened 50 million petting zoos across the world thats still billions of less animals. Which is fine/not fine delete as appropriate.

So the natural food chain is evil? Most animals are food for other animals.

Yes. Nature is cruel, and cruelty is evil. I don't follow the Christian mentality of "because God did it, then it's good".

I’m not eating humans though as I know what you filthy degenerates get up to.

That's a good idea, there are ample studies of it causing prions disease.

They are also good at tilling a field then fertilising it, ready for crops, no killing involved (maybe on a grub level)

I feel no guilt
very true ,im just sad i waited decades to do something about it

Lol, that farm looks fine to me? It's clean, the animals are healthy. You always get some dead in a litter, the farmers priority is obviously to minimise those, dead ones will be collected regularly throughout the day. Ideally it would be free range, but even then when they're very young they will be kept indoors until big enough.

Add some sad music and that guys voice and you'd make anything look tragic

If you boil it down, meat farming is basically a holocaust on animals

If you boil it down it's basically soup surely?

And no Nazis didn't breed and raise Jews just to execute them and then their descendants for generations.

holocaust implies humanity is actively trying to get rid of farm animals.

which is not what farming for meat does- the opposite in fact we want to breed more and more animals because meat is profitable, and tasty, but mostly profitable.

actively trying to get rid of all the animals would be to disallow farming for meat, because then the animals would no longer be profitable, and as such would be discarded in vast numbers.

Lol ,really ,if that farm looks ok to you then low intelligence can be added to your lack of empathy init bro

Richmond vegan sausages are quite nice, to a vegan like myself.

This is the thing, we have got to the point now where we have so many plant based options, that when you boil it down, people are choosing animal based products for taste. They are literally justifying killing a living, feeling, sentient being, because of how it tastes. Personally I couldn't justify that reasoning, which is what made me go vegan.

What I realised as a vegan is that many people lack the empathy or are just too selfish to consider an alternative. People loose their mind if you suggest that the animals they eat are no different to their beloved dogs and cats.

So industrial slaughter of humans is not remotely similar to industrial slaughter of animals ?

Are you saying if the Nazi's ate the Jews after killing them it would be okay ?

you're really stretching to try and make this analogy work aren't you.

the nazi's starved the jews, was cheaper than feeding them, whereas farm animals are fed up to gain more meat.

y'know what would stave? farm animals left to their own devices en-masse
