that -really- counts as a competator? the 2 dont sell anything alike .. :| W/e ill edit it.

Couldnt resist, its harder at the end thats for sure! Trapped Under Ice metallica is pretty tough XD shame its basically only the final 2 (3 for some) tiers worth playing.

sadly does count as a compeditor :p

Yea i know what you mean the last couple tiers do get a bit harder but still.

Also Pull me Under - Dream Theatre wasnt exactly my idea of a last big finale song. Its good dont get me wrong but.... well its no dragonforce is it :p

Yeah, we just finished expert .. that came as a supprise - was expecting another speed-metal affair.. i wouldnt be too bothered having this as the "big final" song .. its a great tune afterall :) if only the final tier was more difficult .. or there was some super insane "This game will be remembered for this!" title in the bonus tracks like GH2 and Jordan .. but hohum.

Still a good title i guess, the guitar really left me feeling disapointed compared to GH3 though :( GH3 had killer tracks for guitar .. was just a perfect mix of tunes for everyone to enjoy ..
Omg, nostalgic already :( Not good.

Oh well, hope for some killer DLC or something :( so far it feels like they put all their attention into the damn drums .. and guitar was an after-thought.

i play almost always on expert drums on RB, but for some reason i cant get into drumming on GHWT for some reason and actually prefer guitar/bass.

having such a large timing window just ruins drums for me.

Rather annoyed that my order is still showing as ordered, not even preparing for dispatch. Had it pre-order for months. My Gears 2 from the same company was sent this morning.

Sorry if the people who have the game have already answered this but what's the guitar like? Is it like RockBands 'non clicky' strum bar or is it the original (better imo) clicky sort? Also what are the frets like? Raised from the neck like all GH guitars or like RBs?

I'm hoping *****COMPETITOR***** have one on demo tomorrow so i can try it out before i buy it :)

Its kinda like the GH3 guitar. .. with a lower Rockband style frets as well.. and the strum bar is kinda 50/50 imo , it clicks but it feels a lot less solid then the GH3 guitar, much more like the rockband one .. but with a click.. which is kinda bad :( overall i prefer the GH3 guitar for the familiar feel to it.

The strum bar is much better this time around, it clicks and has a little lip making it easier to hold on to for fast up and down strumming. The guitar feels very nice all round and star power doesnt activate by itself (so it seems) and has a big fat button to activate it aswell as the tilt method.

The only part of the guitar I don't like so far is the start button, it's too close to the strum bar and I have caught it a few times which obviously pauses the game. Can be a tad annoying but at least when you unpause you get a 5 second countdown to make sure you are ready to hit the right frets again.

The menus are a bit confusing compared to both Rock Band and GH3 but will get used to that. The gameplay itself is much the same (guitar wise) but haven't gotten used to the new features yet like the fret tapping etc.

Playing through the set list isn't great at the moment but the only song I've played and loved was No Sleep Till Brooklyn. SO far I prefer RB and GH2 & 3 setlists.

On to the Tool gig now (whom I love) so maybe the good songs start now. New guitar is nice though.

Gonna sell mine. I hate the clicking of the strum bar. I play very loud and you can hear the clicking over 10 bars on the z5500's. The slider is crap compared to the solo buttons on the fender. Its much harder to find a starting point.

I'd rather use the standard Les paul on this game and just use the normal frets for solo's.

Worst guitar I've had yet.
