I got this too, I got one 2 days ago saying it changed to the 14th - now its back to the 7th? Whats going on?

Also I asked someone instore yesterday which free bass guitar we will get and he basically said it depends on the levels of stock, so we might get a les paul, we might get an xplorer - who knows?

Oh dear. This is what i've said all along, GHWT is going to be competeting against Rockbands 2nd go at a band game.

WTF if one band member fails it's game over. Thats going to be about as popular as the clap.

Oh dear guitar problems too, one in the eye for all those GH fan boys smugly banging on about Rockbands drum kit. Oh no GH has always had quality instruments lmao.

Hmm now debating just getting the solus and ditching the guitar.
 
Go with Dannys idea Da Mic. It only costs 500 points to import all the songs from the first one.

I honestly have more fun playing RB just now then GH3 or Aerosmith as the note charts, although easier on some songs are far more enjoyable.

I've got the solus for both GHWT and RB2 ordered but think I'm more looking forward to RB2 now especially after the review.

Going by the review, it is struggling to even match RB 1.

Maybe they should haven't have tried adding so many features, and got less features working better.

Shame as i was looking forward to this, but that is quite poor for a game which is over a ton.
 
The most worrying thing for me is the les paul. It looked quite good so I ordered it with the game. Yet it plays notes on it's own.

Also that the songs are quite laid out properly.

Everyone I know thats already played this game is telling me the same thing. The songs don't work like Rockbands and the songs play quite blandly.

I'm just trying to decide whether to take a punt with the Les paul or not. Might just keep what I have and buy the new strat instead for the solo buttons.
 
Not according to the review on IGN. It would make sense to work that way, or similar to RB where you can save them but for some reason they have gone with a bit of a stupid method.
 
Yes. I was expecting about a point higher, maybe even a 9. Also the review itself doesn't make the game sound amazing. Not even as good as RB1 let alone 2 according to one part.

I would count that as extremely disappointing considering the hype and expectation :)
 
Come on since when did people start basing their ideas of a game on one poxy review ?

I'm not defending the game, mainly because i am yet to play it. But end of the day it has been shown time and time again that reviews dont count for anything.

An example GTA got 10/10 pretty much everywhere. Now I personnally found the game boring and repedative after a while. Yet that got the best score possible. Unless they start brining in 11/10 :p

The only thing you can trust is your own experience on the game. Seems rather rash to say right one review said it was crap ergo it is im not buying it. Well good for you. You may miss out on a great game by taking that attitude.

I have never said I'm not buying it. I have it on pre-order and wouldn't cancel it based on one review or multiple reviews tbh. If I think I will like it, which I know I will, then I'll just buy it, if I end up not enjoying it then thats life, I'll sell it or keep it to trade in against the Virtual Boy 2 :p I was just saying that it is a disappointing review score, which to me, it is.

Sorry if it wasn't aimed at me. :)

It wasnt aimed at anyone in particular. I just feel that reviews really shouldn't sway how you feel on a game.

As with any of this type of games it is going to be that marmite affect i feel you will either love it or hate it.
