Suprised to not find a thread on this on here, Anyone planning on getting it (or already got it on import) when it comes out on Friday? I've been looking forward to it coming out for weeks I put my order in with game as soon as it was put up on their site!

For anyone whos never heard of it basically its made by the guys who made frequency & amplitude on the PS2 and comes complete with the above guitar peripheral (meant to be a gibson SG replica) which you use to play the tunes by pressing the fret buttons in time with the on screen icons (just like amplitude) and strumming with on the bar in the middle simulating the strings. It's also got a whammy bar to do a bit of freestylin on the noise front :)

The tracklisting for its is mint as well 30 tracks (though they are covers not the real artists singing them).

Motorhead - "Ace of Spades"
Ozzie Osbourne - "Bark at the Moon"
Audioslave - "Cochise"
Pantera - "Cowboys From Hell"
Cream - "Crossroads"
Sum 41 - "Fat Lip"
Edgar Winter Group - "Frankenstein"
Blue Oyster Cult - "Godzilla"
Burning Brides - "Heart Full of Black"
The Exies - "Hey You"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Higher Ground"
Joann Jett - "I Love Rock and Roll"
The Ramones - "I Wanna Be Sedated"
Bad Religion - "Infected"
Black Sabbath - "Iron Man"
Queen - "Killer Queen"
Boston - "More Than A Feeling"
Queens of the Stone Age - "No One Knows"
ZZ Top - "Sharp Dressed Man"
Deep Purple - "Smoke on the Water"
Jimi Hendrix - "Spanish Castle Magic"
Incubus - "Stellar"
Megadeth - "Symphony of Destruction"
The Donnas - "Take It Off"
Franz Ferdinand - "Take Me Out"
Stevie Ray Vaughn - "Texas Flood"
White Zombie - "Thunderkiss 65"
Helmet - "Unsung"
Judas Priest - "You Got Another Thing Comin"
David Bowie - "Ziggy Stardust"

Yes ive had it preordered since they announced a British release :D

Been lookin forward to it for a good while now and it has had rave reviews in america.

No Dragonforce though :(

Price seems to be £49.99 on all the usual sites.

As for multiplayer in the States there was a multiplayer pack which included 2 guitars but I dont think we getting it :( dunno if their will be guitars sold separately over here, you'd hope so.

Gonna be a big sleeper hit this game imo, reading this interview from the CEO of the publishers it appears that the supply of the game is gonna be quite low to start with and they will give it a big advertising push later in the summer at the festivals and concerts when hopefully they will have a few more made.

I've honestly not seen one bad review for it, once word of mouth gets around I reckon its gonna sell real well.

Me and my housemates can't wait to get a hold of this, trouble is, we've only got one PS2 between us and it's broken. But one of our friends is apparently getting it, so we're going to be right round there playing when he does. :D

Plus, I can play two of those songs on an actual guitar, which is clearly going to be an advantage. :o :p

I've already played it.

It rocks like a rock being carried by The Rock at a rock concert while eating a stick of rock !!!

Was in Glasgow Gamestation at the weekend picking up a cheap PSP game and they were playing this. Looked really good I thought! Was suprised that it was the PS2 that it was on aswell, thought it would be more of a gamecube style release.
It would be great with a few friends round whilst having numerous beers. :D

1. Read the post
2. Thought: This is gonna suck
3. Watched the clips
4. Changed mind to: This ROCKS!!!

:D

/edit: Just watched the Iron Man video...I have tears coming out of my eyes from laughing so much! I want to buy a PS2 just to play this game!!!!

Mines been dispatched from Game :D hopefully will turn up tomorrow.

Oh and it appears that a limited number of the cherry SG controllers are gonna be available to buy on the UK guitarhero website so for anyone wanting a second controller these might be the best bet (as well as t3h r@re in the future ;))

Cherry ones are nicer looking than the ones that come with the game as well.

is that... good? o_0

anyway been watching this for a long long time, unfortunately lack of funds mean i wont be getting this on release :(

although my birthday is only a few weeks a way :D

i can just picture me asking my mum for it...
"why do you need a video game to play guitar? you already have three guitars, two amps, and more foot pedals than you can shake a stick at!"

:o

still, looking forward to getting my grips on a half size Gibson SG lol... shame the Cherry Gibson SG models aren't being released in the UK (for the game i mean)... always loved that guitar (the real thing)

Sony have just ripped off the Bratz Guitar Game that was out months ago. About right for Sony I suppose, can't come up with anything original themselves.

im a dance and R n B man meself, but god that track list is good, tempting, these sort of games are what i have in mind on the revolution, few beers and many laughs

If i had a ps2 i would buy it

0.o it's not made by Sony, it's made by Harmonix and published by RedOctane...
The game has been out in the states since about November 2005 and looks nothing like Bratz: Rock Angels

There are already another 5 (I think) games in development that use the guitar :)

You know, country and western, blues maybe even a brit-pop one.

Same concept, you play the guitar to some crap music on your tv.
