Guitar Hero

Does anyone else get that messed up eyes thing after playing a song? All the stuff starts rippling around me when I look away from the screen its a bit messed up :eek:

got this yesterday

haha i find that instead of seeing everything as a whole, my eyes seem to just focus on the bottom bar, my eyes do go a bit funny though

just completed it on hard, considering expert but did cry a few times during hard (especially the ozzy song and no one knows), such a fun game, digging out guitar freaks later and more likely, the ultimate game - BEATMANIA!

Guitar freaks and beatmania? Not heard of them, can you expand on that please :)
 
Beatmania and Guitar freaks are 2 other rhythm games that came out, both made by konami.

Guitar freaks is the same kinda thing as Guitar Hero but with only 3 frets to play. Had some really nice original music on it.

Beatmania is again sorta the same but you have a dj turntable deck/mixer thingy, looks like this in the arcade.

Beatmania

7 buttons and the turntable, the game can get ridiculously hard at time. especially when playing it on expert. Beatmania is a lot harder than guitar freaks.
 
ok i was really tempted to get this game, but what i am getting worried about is the fact that everyone seems to be completing it way to easily, so its putting me off :(
 
If you're me.... which you're not.

Easy is too easy.
Meduim is nice at the beginning and proceeds through to tricky at the end.
Hard is VERY hard.
Expert is beyond my reach :)

Although, it does depend on how well you want to complete it.
The people saying they've done it on medium and hard may well have messed it up completely and just scraped through each song by the skin of their teeth.

Mate my wife has just robbed my tv and won't get off the damned guitar.
Even if it was easy, which it really isn't, the real fun is not solo playing but playing with a few mates and a few beers. This is very good fun.

Dont worry all of these games start out like that nice and easy to get to further stages...

Then you up the difficulty....try for a while... finish that

Honestly to completely finish one of these games with 100% on each section you must be some kind of mutant with extra arms :p

Unless of course you can play like This !

These games really do excel with a few mates and a beer.

I never did play guitar freaks anyone here play it ?

Beatmania was great fun but I dont think I had enough fingers to actually finish that game ;)

From arcadeing a while back that looks legit to me, alas all the arcades in newcastle seem to have shut down :(

Guess theres still the metrocentre but last time I was there it was utter tosh

I still can't get my wife off the damn game grrrr. To top it off she's quite practiced at guitar heroes now and is whooping me at it.

game was a tad hard at first, but when you get used to it its easy as pie :)
most of my scores are around 97 - 98% hit notes on hard mode... been playing real guitar for three years, transition was... strange... but it feels good :D

my housemate is an awesome guitarist yet he really cant get to grips with this game lol

www.guitarherogame.co.uk you can buy the guitar on its own..........the painful parts the price £29.99 before shipping which is another £10 :eek: making it £40 which is frankly a rip off you'd be better off buying another game pack and flogging the game.

thats stupid, so your basically paying 10 quid for the game, 29 quid is still too much, i wouldnt pay more than 20 quid for just the control
 
My brother and I are having a blast on this right now as he is visiting this weekend.
A second guitar would be well worth the £30 :D
Guitar Hero is EVEN better when the booze flows. What a giggle.
