Guitar Hero

Same concept, you play the guitar to some crap music on your tv.

Make up your mind. Ripped them off....same concept? Get your facts right before trying Sony-bashing. It's a fine art, only the best can do it.

And besides, no one cares (except you it seems), as long as the game's good.

I wasnt convinced first of all...but having seen it running & had a go in Game yesterday I can honestly say I'll be buying it on Friday & finally get round to getting my Playstation 2 back out of the loft (Havent played on it since about November last year)

This game will rule.

a right laugh multiplayer as well, my housemates gettin a copy as well, so 2 player guitar awesomness for friday

Well after game delivered mine this morning :D i've put a fair amount of time into it (completed easy mode!) and its every bit as good as I hoped.

The difficulty curve is what has impressed me it seems to ramp up really well, on easy you just play the 3 fret buttons then on medium they throw the 4th one into play but you I havent felt is moving to fast yet and its quite amazing how you go nuts on the frets with your left hand almost like using a guitaring 6th sence :o youre pressing them right yet your brain seems miles behind!

Though my left fret playing hand is crackered! If you want early arthritis this is the game!

haha just been told mine has been dispatched!
i don't even remember preordering this game :o must have done it ages ago when news first got out about the game... good thing is i get another cool game to play, bad thing is i'm now skint :(

didn't have the money to preorder the game, didn't realise i already had it on preorder

just checked/remembered that i've now had UT2007 on preorder for almost a year lol

Looks great fun, it was a little unkown game when released and has sky rocketed in sales everyone whos played it loves it.

Shame I sold my ps2 :(

just completed it on medium settings, that was insane lol

queens of the stone age - no one knows was absoloutley solid when it came to the solo

awesome game tho

most fun i've had in ages, on to tomb raider legends now

Managed to complete it on Easy with not too much difficulty, but No One Knows, jez was that way too hard.

Been trying to get to grips with Medium but having trouble using the fourth fret. God help me on hard mode.

So, as good as you'd all hoped?

definatley

when i first read about it i thought it would just be a dance mat game but with a guitar. And i cant stand those sorta games

But i got it anyway, and it is the most fun game i've ever played

So satisfying as well when you do a hard song without many mistakes

I've not managed to do a 100% yet :(

And I can't for the life of me get my head round doing red and blue at the same time.
My fingers just freak out and refuse to do it !!!

Sony have just ripped off the Bratz Guitar Game that was out months ago. About right for Sony I suppose, can't come up with anything original themselves.

What Bratz guitar game? Having watched the video of this there is no way my little girl is going to be able to cope with it.

Stop with the sony ripped off them this and t'other...

There were guitar games, as well as DJ Deck games out for the PS1 Yonks ago

I guess the UK market back then just didnt seem economically viable for these relases. Altho beatmania did receive a very shot run over here and appeared not too long after at a ridiculous £4.99 for the game/deck bundle.

Oh the fun had :)

Dont forget nintendo also had the Bongo Game... who did they rip off ?

tbh I think the first of these "rhythm" games (which is basically what all of these would fall under) I can think of would actually be parappa the rapper (which was great fun) on the PS1, since them theyve just become more stylised and tbh took more of a nintendo approach, ie aimed at utter enjoyment rather than fancy graphics and dedicated controllers available.

Theres only one problem with this at the minute....

Im skint lol

BTW - Did you enjoy the bratz guitar game? Gonna do us a review?
