a word of warning, this item is severely warranty void.
if you try to RMA this to OcUK then there will be absolutely nothing we can do about it.
the socket is broken beyond all belief.
the way supplier returns works is that we pre test faulty items to ensure that when forwarding them to suppliers, we are not then charged for wasting their time.
if we were to send this back to the supplier, they would simply reject it so we wouldnt do it.
if you do send this in and we found it to be faulty [im guessing there is a high chance this will happen] then we would have to process a testing charge for the item.
i think it is best in this instance that you either consider buying a new board
or
as mentioned above, email Asus directly, they will be able to attempt a repair on the board.
however, there is no guarantee that a repair would be successful, dependant on the damage.
