Guy microwaves his cat...

I think the truly horrible thing about this is that it wasn't a knee jerk reaction like slapping the cat away would have been. He took the time to pick the cat up, decide what he was going to do, move to the kitchen and do the act. For any right thinking individual they would have stopped at the picking the cat up stage and had a second thought.

Doubtless this piece of filth will be in trouble with the law in future in some regard, as he clearly has no impulse control or regard for social norms. A life of burdening the state either on benefits or in prison surely awaits.

Horrible act but I'd rather they just fined him instead of putting him in prison using our taxes . Maybe dock his benefits, that's much more likely to stop him doing anything like that again.

What are you on about?

Are you getting confused about how to react? You're the one acting like this isn't that bad and like the guy's just been done for growing a few cannabis plants and is now "turning his life around" getting ready to "make an honest living".

Stop acting like I've said something out of line.

I've not said this isn't a bad thing, in fact I've said the opposite, it's a deplorable act. I'm just unable to understand why this gets such a harsh reaction, it seems people on the internet love cats.

The article clearly points to him stopping drinking and planning a family, he's gone from committing an awful act to this, he's been punished by the courts as they've seen fit.

The cat, will I'm sure find a better home too where it isn't subjected to such awful owners.

Go away.

Ok, while I'm not as mad as Tummy about this ... I really dont care if some other plonker stuck a cat in a microwave.

If you eat any kind of meat, then you really shouldnt be bothered by it at all. Yes I love animals, particularly dogs, cats and horses, but someone else committing a crime like this simply doesnt get me worked up at all. He got judged and will have to face the legal consequences, justice has been served - no need to be a right pussy over the whole thing.

But erm yes, I wouldnt only ban his rights to ever own a pet again, I would also want his child and anymore babies that he makes taken away from him for their safety.

It takes quite a deranged person to put an animal in a microwave in the first place, this is what you don't seem to get, "I won't do it again, honest Guv'" isn't really an indication that he's not going to do some other pretty deranged stuff.

Of course he's going to say all that in a court, he doesn't want to be punished for it.

You can tell me to go away all you want, I'm not gonna leave the thread because you're having a diva moment and acting like you're being picked on. Other people have said worse things in response to your posts and you've reacted differently. Calm down and stop whinging.

Just because people eat meat doesn't mean they shouldn't be bothered cruelty. A cat being stuffed in a microwave will have suffered far more than an animal that's been properly stunned and slaughtered.

You may as well say cruelty to humans isn't that bad because some people like to eat humans too. I know that's a ridiculous thing to say.

No, I dont equate human suffering to animal suffering.

People are still allowed to hunt animals these days, and most animals that are prepared for food have to endure some of the most horrific living conditions imaginable just in order to be able to provide enough food for all the people who eat meat.

People who are outraged by this should at the least be vegetarians and members of Peta.

He has been punished for it and as the article has said, he's stopped drinking and looking to start a family, indications that he's moving on with his life. People do things out of the ordinary and out of character all the time, they also change all the time.

I do find it funny the conclusions people have jumped to about this person. He did something horrible, he got caught, he got punished and has hopefully (judging by the evidence) learnt his lesson as the phrase goes. The cat will find hopefully a better home and be much happier.

:D diva moment.

Not everyone else has made two posts having sly digs at me :) least be a bit more grown up and not pussy foot about insulting me.

Anyway, have a pleasant evenin'

Also, LOL'd at the human eating comment.
