GVT- Great Volume Trauma

My muclefood came, damn camera aint working properly.

Bought 30 bags of Lean Biltong, just finished a bag quite tasty actually. Slight vinegar taste to it, but others have said the same thing.

Video of rdl???? Make sure you aren't rounding before going too crazy, same with deadlifts.

Don't be disheartened about OHP, it can be a bugger of an exercise.

Biltong is usually washed/marinated with vinegar so that isn't too surprising.

No videos but I was quite conscious of rounding the back. Ive done deadlifting for a few years now, so I think my form is good. I found with RDL as the bar goes down, you stick your butt out more and that helps keep your back quite strict.

Aint that the truth.

Yep, its still tasty though :)

Glute pain inbound :D
We shall see...

Week2
Day1:
Squats 10X10 80kg all fine weight going up.
Deficit Bulgarian Split Squats (dumbells) 10x10 Mother of god what did I just put myself through. Started off with 10kg got to set 4 and had to put the dumbells down and finsh the set without no weight. Picked up the 7.5kg and finished the remaining 6 sets, I was destroyed at the end.
DB Lunges 3x10 10kg not that bad tbh especially after having about 2mins rest after that gruelling BSS. Weight will be going up.
DB Side Raises 3x10 7.5 slow and controlled felt awesome on my shoulders. Might keep the same weight again.

Pretty happy with me keeping the rest times to 1min between sets for the majority of the time. Sometimes I added an extra 20 seconds but I needed it.
Tomorrow Im back in the gym to do my bench session.

Good on you for doing the 10 x 10 on BSS though! I struggle with a lot less volume... Then again I need to be able to walk home :D

Some of these replies:p
I did make it back from college yesterday and im fairly achy today aswell.
I did do my bench session today heres how it went:

Week2
Day2:
Bench 10x10 37kg- Got to about set 6 or 7 and managed 8 reps. Tried the last 3-4 sets at 35kg.
Rows 10x10 20kg Fine nothing to say but will be going up.
Dips 3x10 I did these before the rows today, but I was worse than last week. I managed about 6 reps all together. I may have to try with the band or change it for another exercise.
DB Push Press 3x10 10kg Managed it but was quite difficult, am I meant to feel it in the lower back?

Push presses being felt in your lower back would suggest a combination of bad form and poor core control.

The trick with push presses is making sure the transfer of leg drive to the dumbbell is as clean as possible, meaning a completely locked off core. Your lumbar is hurting because it wasn't braced or wasn't strong enough (I doubt the latter) to stop it flexing when you were driving with your legs.

That sounds about right, had similar problem when I first started OHP years ago, until I worked on it. I think I may of leaned back a bit much. It wont be an issue next week, cheers :)

I had issues with hyper-extending my lower back and excessive arching before I sorted my form out, which led to some back ache - could potentially be a similar issue?
Squeezing my glutes hard enough to crack a walnut and using a double breath for core bracing really helped in that respect.
