Completely agree - just wish we were given transparency on where those adjusted points were gained.

The original score had 0.5 points knocked off for not performing a dismount at all, they classified it as a fall. In reality it was a dismount as he was starting the dismount, fell but managed to land on two feet so no fall just a very bad dismount. They put the 0.5 points back on because he did perform a dismount.

I watched the ceremony but on bbc website, it stopped and started, I doubt they did but they didn't give the Ukraine an special mention and maybe an apology and called them up to get a round of applause? would have been a nice gesture. I can't imagine how awful that has to feel.

Anyway, from some of those performances it really looks liek England could pick up some more medals with the men there in the individual and all around as well maybe.

I honestly saw that as a mistake. He shouldn't have been credited for it.

Do feel sorry for Ukraine though. They performed well.

Bronze it is, but it shouldn't have been that easy to change.

But from what I heard from the commentary and I explained above they were rewarded more than just the dismount mark...

Granted my comments were a little harsh, but If anyone else was watching they would have heard the crowds booing too so I'm hardly alone by saying that it was complete kick in the teeth to go from silver to Bronze, particularly when our team did so well.

It's all great and gallant being "sporting" and what not, but I'm supporting team GB and to say I wasn't disappointed by the result would be a lie.

I'm watching it online so the sound may not be the best but all i heard was cheering when it was medal time for Japan. There were boos when the decision was announced, of course there were, but our crowd did us proud at the medals.

Booing because Team GB lost Silver for Bronze is understandable, but your comment about booing the Japanese at the medal ceremony was downright disgraceful considering its the Olympics. Poor show really...
I just hope everyone Boos the Japanese team on the podium. Complete BS.

Fantastic result and from the sound of it there can be no complaints. I know nothing about gymnastics but from what the commentators said it was a standard procedure and they corrected what was originally a mistake.

Like I said, the booing comment I made was harsh, hense me retracting the comment I made almost immediately.

Disappointed is all I was. Regardless, our lads did excellent!

The white knight army is out in force tonight, jesus..

Indeed, the Japanese score for the 3rd pommel horse was totally wrong and caused all the issues.
Fantastic result though as a medal was very much not expected and tbh most people were saying we done excellent to even have qualified for the final !!
The boys performed out of their skins and totally deserved the bronze :-)

Just catching up with this on the BBC. Switched to BBC3 now and more than happy to watch it again :D

Fantastic effort by the mens team. This is what the Olympics are all about, uniting a nation in support for a sport most people will have never watched.

The unexpected ones are always the best!

Watched this live today and was properly glued to the tv, great performances all round even after one of ours fell off the horizontal bar. The Japanese were right to question their score as it was clearly a dismount, just a very badly executed one, I dont know what the judges were thinking at the time.

Nice to see the Japanese shaking the hands of the Brits before they went to collect their medals, they knew they were hard done by, but it wasnt Japans fault.

They didn't seem as strong as the men in the qualifiers but still did decent. Looking forward to it after yesterdays result.
