H1Z1 - Zombie apocalypse sandbox from SOE

hey guys looking for some noobie advice.

I need wood logs, everything says I just need to chop down trees, so I hit the tree with a wood axe a bunch of times and nothing happens? is it just certain trees or am I doing something wrong.

Anyone have any issues with ingame voice comms being too quiet, ive tried moving the sliders ingame but they make it crackly and even worse, also when i can hear someone they say im quiet despite my mic being at 100%.

Apart from that this patch has improved loot, its amazing how much food and ammo i can find but yet to find a gun to use the ammo lol.

Do you have space in your bag? usually they would drop to the ground if thats the case ^^

I have found quite a few pistols in the metal filing cabinets mostly in the small offices attached to the garages.
 
jesus my hearts racing. if that was someone from here I popped on strangers server I apologise. fired my gun by mistake and heard a lot of running and shooting and agitated zombies. so I hunkered down in a store. all goes quiet then a zombie comes in so I gotta pop him.

queue some dude charging in with a machine gun, got him with my pistol, but his mate got me with a shotty I think....

You need to hit it about 10 times then it will fall down and leave you some wood logs.
 
NW corner, the last buildings you can see on the map (Strangers server), 2/3 dudes have a few bases in that little compound. Just got myself a nice mil backpack of some dude trying to shoot arrows at me ;)
 
Gutted wanted to play for a couple of hours, servers are coming down it seems and these are the patch notes from twitter:

Patch Notes:

•More loot spawning adjustments

•More sorting options are available on the server select screen

•Fixed issue where you were unable to go back to the server list after deleting the only character on a server

•Loot bags dropped from players and zombies have been increased in size, making them easier to see

•Battle Royale: Trees, bushes, and plants can now be interacted with in Battle Royale

•Battle Royale: There is now a "Play Battle Royale" button in server select screen

These guys pretty much patch every night which is amazing, but timezones suck. Makes me wish they would do a weekly BIG patch/update on a Sunday.

yeah just seen it. noticed a lot of people camp the police station at pleasant now.

had a very funny encounter with a guy who was a newspawn who walked up to me says hi im friendly punched me in face then ran off shouting hes a bandit kill him :p

guy with gun left me though :D
