They have said in past I can't be bothered to look though there post but has been said before.it WILL be a free game so they will want to claw money back and that's there way of doing it.

Pretty sure they have sold enough copies to pay for everything that needs to be done for when it becomes "free"
 
Bought this in the steam sales for £7.50 the Battle Royale mode is the most fun I have had online for some time!! Yes I know they are going to be putting a monthly cost on this feature but if they continue to improve it I would happily pay $6 a month for it :)

I am loving this game. The BR mode is all I play at the moment. Apart from the odd game of CS or BF.

They're on to a winner, winner, chicken dinner here. My only problem is, should they start charging monthly or per event ticket. Those lobbies will empty out quickly.

I tried joining a game one Sunday morning when I had some time to spare and it took ages for the game to start and started with less than 50 players.
 
Yeh for £7.50 Its not a massive deal :D. Just got to 3rd place how my characters white pants where still white I will never know!
 
What's this battle royale malarkey then? Played quite a bit of the 'main'game - mainly griefing though, hanging about bases eric killing people as they came and went!

You and around 150 other people get parachuted onto the map at different locations with no items at all. Its then up to you to find a weapon and its an all out last man standing game type. Whilst the map starts off on the larger side there is action from the get go with the map getting smaller by the minuite forcing the fewer survivors closer to each other. Ever 3 mins or so the map is reduced by a poisonous gas which kills your character if you stay in it too long.

Its been done before as an arma mod but its my first time playing the game type and it is awesome fun! :D This morning me and another dude both dropped onto a small campsite it was a frantic battle to who could find a weapon first I managed to get the better of him with a machete and we where both laughing at each other down the mic :D
 
Battle Royale mode is absolutely epic.

When they bring the team Battle Royale mode I hope it attracts more players from OcUK.
 
Anyone have any idea why this would crash every time I play BR? As soon as the countdown to start is up instead of parachuting it just crashes to desktop without any error messages or anything :(.
 
Hmm

A hotfix just went live to address the major crashing issues.

Please update your H1Z1 client and give it a shot.

I guess that answers my question, might be why when my friend was playing the player counts were going down much quicker than I've seen them go down on streams. It was like 25 people left before first gas :o.

Edit: Nope :(.

This is almost what I want.

A hard core mode (one single bite and your dead), no spawns, once your dead your out, absolute ton if zombies that also don't respawn, however any player that gets inspected turns into one. None of this map getting smaller.

And then see who survives.

Easy win, if you can get in.

Mine keeps crashing just as the BR starts.
 
Game is a hoot, got it and been playing constantly.

Battle Royale is where the fun is. Best i've done so far is come second.

Came 9th just now but killed 5 players and 1 vehicle :)
 
Have just discovered this game after watching a few streamers on Twitch.

Battle Royale is loads of fun. Had a session last night and managed to win two BR's.
