Hackintosh or iMac?

I had a Hackintosh, It was a Q6600, 8GB RAM, 8800 GTX as it was my gaming system. I had it pretty stable, but the fact that it had a few problems every now and again defeated the purpose of it. I had problems with my GTX and although I managed to get it sorted, I had a few more problems and in the end I gave up.

I sold it all and bought a MacBook and an Xbox 360. The hackintosh had much better hardware inside, but I find my MacBook no slower for what I use it for and I do dabble with Photoshop and Aperture 2 quite allot.

I now can't wait to get a 24" MacBook. :)

A 24" MacBook? :confused::eek:

Would rather have a Quad Core PC that looks better than a Mac which can run osx in a vm ;)

:D

What is the point of running OS X in a VM? I run OS X natively because I use a computer to get work done. I don't want to run an OS to play with it and I really don't want the effort of booting one OS only to then need to boot another.

That first case is horrible. The second not so bad but you can see where it got its inspiration from and I bet it is nothing at all like a Mac Pro case on the inside considering it does a half arsed copy on the outside! :p The monitor is fairly bland, I don't like the way Samsung make their monitors look like their TV's

I like the look of the Apple Cinema Displays but they need a refresh tech wise so how about one of these?

It is of my opinion that no PC comes close to the looks of an Apple and the overall package of Apple design + OS X cannot be matched by cobbling together a bastardized "hackintosh"

lolwhat? The G5 case is not the alpha and omega of computer cases.

I do think both cases and the Dell monitor are pretty ghastly though. IMO the Antec P182 is one of the best PC cases. Nice understated design and very functionally constructed interior.
