Had an Xbone, then a PS4, keeping the Xbone

I am all for nice shinier graphics and am really enjoying my PS4. I am not too bothered about a change in the way games play rather than wanting the game makers to put more of an effort into writing a captivating story with memorable characters, say like The Last of Us. If you can combine this with good solid gameplay mechanics then I will be happy.

The two aren't mutually exclusive though.

dont understand the logic there i have played ryse and killzone SF and killzone SF looks far superior to ryse?? Technically in another league with engine etc.

Ryse is nice looking no doubt about it. Crytek do nice looking corridors and small arenas.

Killzone isn't far behind either imo.

To be fair to killzone sf I got bored about a third of the way through so i havent completed it. Sure the vistas and view distance on some levels are stunning but I have completed ryse and cryteks game is more consistant I think ryse is more cinematic and a better over all production than killzone. Only my opinion but I need to complete killzone to make a more informed decision. I do think ryse is very very underated as was knack no way is nack a 3 or 4 out of 10 game.

Hugest

Surprising I really enjoyed killzone couldn't put it down, and the graphics in my opinion are the best on either console so far obviously only speaking for myself.just think the engine is technically better than ryse, although ryse is very good. resolution lets ryse down also.

As for knack I agree loved the game so underrated graphics were better on that than was let on by journalists also.

I've got shovels for hands, I normally take 2-3 XL in boxing gloves and any other gloves and I prefer the DS4 over the xbo controller, the xbo controller fatigues my hands after use.

FIFA runs better on the xbox? Well one of the reason I play it on the PS4 is the xbo version takes a few seconds longer to view anything on the market place...

I've got both, I play on both.

Havnt played any of the latest consoles, but after getting used to keyboard and mouse the controllers feel slow in pc games imo. xbox controllers fill your hand though where as ps controller feels awkward

The DS4 is one of the best controllers I've used, I even prefer it over the 360 controller and that's saying something.

If the controller feels slow turn up the sensitivity.

The DS4 is the most comfortable controller I have used and I previously loved the xbox 360 controller.

i agree the ds4 is a lovely controller and very comfortable sony out did themselves with the ds4 from the ds3. I also came from a x360 controller which i also loved.

the ds3 was a shockingly bad pad though.

As someone who used to have an Xbox 360 and moved to the PS4 one thing I have noticed is that people camp so much more in FPS games on the Playstation Network which is highly annoying. The Xbox 360 seemed to have a much higher quality of players in multi-player games.

My first argument would be that you would have only played against a tiny fraction of the PS4 userbase, and my second argument would be that if you are getting killed by people online a lot who are running tactics you don't like then maybe it's you with the issue not them.

Whining about camping is always one of the more ridiculous things you tend to see online and I never can understand it.

Having spent a lot of hours on a number of COD games, on Xbox 360, that's absolutely ridiculous. The games were littered with 'campers'. Just get better then it's less of an issue anyway.

Smoke and mirrors really, they give you the impression of scale without having much. Crytek are the masters of that.

Not really. As I said, there were a few quite open areas that allowed you to explore if you so desired. Granted, they all led to the same path ultimately, but if you're expecting some sort of open-world exploration game you're in the wrong genre.

The only abuse I've ever received in online gaming has been on Xbox Live (despite the vast majority of my multiplayer time being spent on PSN), so it works both ways.

cant see it being any different on either network.

They are both equally awful....can safely say Ghosts is about the worst thing I wasted a couple of hours of my life with..utterly...completely terrible...its became a parody of itself.

I know this is a little bit off topic but to those who have a high end gaming PC, for what reasons did you decide to buy a next-gen console?

I have no idea. I like to have everything? But I don't really care about ownership so I'm back to I don't know honestly. I think console driving games is why I did it and for future rpgs. Vasically the answer is I think I have too much disposable income and should probably focus on saving for a house.....
