Hadrian's wall not about the Romans

Oh you want to play that card. Like Muslim isn't a race so you can't be racist towards them, right?

But Muslim isn't a race... Muslim would mean a follower of Islam. You have many followers of islam from all over the world including black, brown and white people.

Unless someone uses the term 'Muslim' for a catch-all for brown people exclusively, then you are correct. You can't be racist towards them... But you can discriminate against them based on their faith.

But I suppose most racist people are quite ignorant so I suppose it's not out of the world to think that distinction is lost on them

Anyway, I can't quite believe (or rather I can) that a discussion about a wall and more, very harmless, information being available to the public has people on here so wound up and having another racism argument

Incorrect, as defined by the meaning of the word race, Muslims are a race.

"A race is a categorization of humans based on shared physical or social qualities into groups generally viewed as distinct within a given society."

The key bit there being social qualities, in this case the following of a shared religion. Your third sentence being very ironic as a result.

Ah, gotcha. So gammon is a race?

Glad we've got that sorted.

Were they at Hadrian's Wall?

So what race would a white Muslim be?

Are Christians also a race or is it a religion?

And he just lols when I ask him to explain it as he knows I’m fundamentally right, but he could never admit that. His sort never admit when they’re in the wrong because they stubbornly insist they never are.

Feel free to sod off back to your own. I'm sure you can enjoy that little echo chamber to no end.
So you want your own little echo chamber? Calm down guys your faces will go all red with this rage you are exposing.

Muslim. And white (well, Caucasian in all probability)
Without wanting to get any further it this as I CBA TBH, it looks like you're confusing and conflating race, ethnicity and culture. They all mean different things.

And these aren't some kind of modern wokery BS definitions either. They all mean different things and have done since their usage began.

We should have some academic thoughts on this, because no doubt posters like the OP and Chris W prefer to know historical truth and not just what's written in books.

It really is like an alternative universe here at times.

It's called "The real world". The real world is not a cloistered group of people in agreement with each other and competing to be more pollitically correct than their fellows. It's where some groups are disliked by other groups and despite one group trying to make it an offence to dislike them, that isn't actually occurring. So who is actually the thin skinned here? I'd say those turning to changing the law to effectively force people to only utter "nice" things about them, and to have inoffensive phrases ambushed and changed because it gives said groups an imaginary feeling of empowerment. it would serve some groups better to step back and wonder WHY some people dislike them, and how they might change their behaviour to become more generally popular.

You can call people of different opinions to yourself "an alternative universe" but it really means you are moving in cloistered circles and denying reality.

No, it looks like you and others aren't aware of the meaning of race. I posted it above. Feel free to read it.

Is a common trait of the gammon race that they just keep saying and thinking the same thing over and over thinking that eventually everyone will have to submit and go along with it? If so empathise with the frustration.

Let's play a game, my little racist friend.

Yellow when describing someone of Chinese descent, racist or not racist?

**** when describing someone of African descent, racist or not racist?

Darky, as above.

Gorilla/Ape/Monkey, as above.

Dune ****, someone of West Asian descent, racist or not racist?

Slant-eye, someone of East Asian descent, racist or not racist?

You might, if you try, pick up on the fact that all of these terms are linked and based upon someone's physical appearance, whether their skin colour or another aspect. Now think of another term that you keep using that does the same...

Frankly, like I said, I don't care to talk about this because I can't really be ****d. Especially with someone posting the kinda stuff in bold to me. I'm more interested in why you think gammon is a race. I find that amusing. Sorry.
