I guess that would go hand in hand with the three people who own one.

Seems plenty of people able to throw £2k+ at GPUs, they'll be more than 3 people willing to throw £3k+ at a setup to play HL3.

I hope that's not the case, but we're talking about industries that are way beyond their humble beginnings.

I think there may be a few more than three people with VR headsets playing HL:A

500+ recent reviews and I bet there's a few thousand more than that from people that actually bother reviewing games (I don't) :)

I know, right! It's very serious stuff don't ya know. More VR titles please, especially if it's Half-Life :p

To be fair, VR owners need another killer title because there's about three games actually worth playing on it.
I'm just wondering when it gets abandoned for the second time or is it the third now we're on.

Actually going to write to Gabe and ask him to just confirm it either way directly to @mrk to put him out of his misery. Act of mercy.
Back in the days of HL1 I believe his number was in the directory and he would get all sorts off random calls about the game...

I think you a misplaced in that thought! HL3 would sell better than most games out today, even if much of the demo from back then isn't around today, the current generation of players are more than aware of the HL series and what Valve stand for.

I'd say it even would give GTA6 a run for its money.

I'd also argue that if you look at a game like Baldur's gate 3, that sold exceptionally well, despite the fact that the first two were around Half-Life time as well and arguably a more niche genre.

I did also used to think Half-Life 3 wouldn't sell hugely but yeah then I thought about that situation.

DNF fell into development hell, Valve don't have such issues, the rest of the world just has to wait until valve say it's time.
