Halfords 3-year battery warranty is a joke.

A lot of people do expect something for nothing however and have very little mechanical knowledge or sympathy.

If my car is locked in the garage it goes on a charger. If we go on holiday for a few weeks the batteries are disconnected off the cars we are not using.

To expect a warranty claim when you have had a battery sitting the garage for a long time or have constantly ran it flat then what do people seriously expect?

It is the same as people who moan their TV or electronics have gone bust but have left them running 24/7 in some closed cupboard with little to no ventilation.

The running man, You’ll just need to ask and make it clear at the motor factors before you make your purchase!

I personally think a warranty should cover the product for the life of a warranty. Surely that's the definition of a warranty? I realise it gers tricky if you only do short journeys, but a good charge should fix the battery (assuming it's not been done for too long).

Theone8181, that’s exactly what a layman would assume a warranty stands for but it obviously doesn’t and people are paying extra for a longer warranty that doesn’t cover what they expect!
