If its not your fault, then it could either be your ISP hitting you with a QoS (but only if they are retards) or the people you play with/against have Internet issues.

This is the thing, my router is shared with my family but its in my room so I know when its being used. I may perhaps have my machine on but it isnt actually doing anything. And Im using Nildram who were taken over by *shudder* Pipex a few years ago...

Also when Im playing with my mates my voice often lags when were searching for games, when we are in the games its always ALWAYS fine. ANd when we play campaign I often get stuttering lag too :( I dunno what it is.

Its not the router as Its been doing it for the past few months, I got a newer version of my router last week and the problems are still there - and yes my NATS open :D

Yeah I'm with nildram too, service has significantly dropped since Pipex took over.

The location of your router will not tell you if its being used, (ep if wireless) logging on to it and looking at the connected devices will. ;)

Campaign has a lot more going on than multi-player tbh. When we used to play GRAW we could do 16 players in a VS match, But only 6-8 in co-op. Simply too much for the host network to deal with.

searching games uses more bandwidth.

Is it possible that your mates Internet connection is at fault?

What broadband package are you on?

Yeah the only thing I meant by the router being in my room was the fact that only one light would be flashing, and I use ethernet for the xbox and all of my other devices - parents pc downstairs uses wireless so if they are using the Internet I can quickly find out. But I mean Im very familiar with my router so I'm always keeping an eye on the logs and the connected devices.

It might be my mates connection thats at fault but we usually play in a 3 and if my voice lags when were searching for matches, it lags for both of them and not just one. I also found that up until a few months ago campaign ran perfectly fine over the internet, saying that Crackdown would lag for absolutely no reason at-all.
 
Got this game a few days ago, i think its brilliant despite what people were telling me, might be also because i never really completed the original Halo or played Halo 2 untill the end but i am enjoying it.

Feel free to add me to XBL for some co-op/mp :D

Wish I didn't lag so much tonight, was hilarious watching bllack wolf attempt to play halo by looking at his character from my screen though :p

And alriks mongoose off the cliff suicide.
 
I've just traded in my old launch premium for a new falcon based premium...but i was allowed to keep my old hard drive.

last night i found out i have to start my game of halo 3 again because it won't load my save game on the new console (apparently bungie have known about this issue for a while?)

bit annoying to say the least.
