Halo 3 what else? :p Just me and CAD man atm

Although I am now convinced the matchmaking system puts me on the **** team each and everytime, since I seem to get nothing but staff captains on my team and the other team gets nothing but generals and brigadiers.

Naturally my team mates run out and die 30x each or we get bum raped so bad in the first 3 mins that they all quit on me...

Also forgot been doing a bit of horde with a mate, but he seems to have given up now like everyone always does when you get close to finishing the damn thing...

Oddly enough I assumed that all online gaming has stopped since I have been unable to play online... Just glad its been confirmed



Oh, the little one can now talk (which means repeat) so I'll have to learn to a)control my temper b) stop swearing... Miss K is genuinely concerned that I won't be able to manage it.

And I'm still waiting for some gears action. Horde/matches anything!

I don't play anything these days, my whoring days are officially dead. Rockband a few arcade games or nothing. Started going through the SP in GRAW again.

Upto level 8 on Halo, got bored with the flood and libary sections so haven't finished it off yet. Currently doing the section where you backtrack from where you came from.

Is that halo1?

Caboose... Um Wingzero and I did the whole game in legendary in a 12 hours single sitting (it probably would have been 6-8 hours but we spent about half the time messing about killing each other) The Library is a bit of a chore level (especially if you checkpoint with sweet FA weapons and the whole flood coming at you)... We spent at least an hour trying to clear an area so that a blast door would open. We must have had well over 50 attempts at it... God I don't miss that part of the game. (but the rest is fun... just crack on and you'll get it done and be a better person for it ;))

IMO the Flood in many ways ruin the Halo games. The Covenant are challenging to kill even in small numbers, and you have to play with a bit of strategy and flair to get past them. with The flood all you need is a shotgun(and a sword in later games), lots of ammo and quick reflexes. I honestly cant say I really enjoyed any level in Halo where the sole enemy was flood. In fact I don't even see them as the main enemy (despite the fact they clearly are). I only see the Covenant (particularly the Elites) as the main enemy.

Edit: Also I think the Halo1 flood was the best of the bunch. I'm not sure what it is about the flood in later games, but they just don't have that halo1 challenge. Maybe its the weapons available to you in later games, or the level design. In halo1 at least the flood presented a challenge, could make you jump and seemed to come from every direction at random. In the later games they were almost predictable and were the badguy equivalent of speed bumps, not going to harm you, just slow you down a bit

IMO thats always been the biggest issue. I'd love it if we could get up to 16 of us on regularly so that we can do BTB games against each other. As well as having a regular group that we could go into match making with and maybe even use some form of tactics for something other than team killing me
 
Yeah it's always better with more. I miss the launch days of 16 player customs :(

Even if we could just get 4 of us on regularly it would be good. If anyone is ever playing post it on here and I'll come on if I'm free.

Some people take gaming far too seriously on here, and a lot of people can't take any form of banter which is a real shame. The bigger shame is that when I stop playing Halo 3 I never get to game with you lot as you and alrik are little halo fags and won't ever play anything else!

i'm still here, sold my premium to a mate, replaced with an elite, said mate's got 2 copies of H3 so i'm buying one from him. should have it again in the next day or two.

still, it's crappier than the likes of CoD4/WaW

TBH throughout my life I have always played one game at a time. I suspect it goes back to my childhood as my friends and I were only ever allowed to get a new game once we completed the game we were currently playing. So ever since I was young I have played one game at a time until I completed it (or returned it immediately if I knew I didn't like it enough to play it to the end)

I guess this also carries through to MP games. I may as well have not bought any other games for my XBOX1 as I more or less played Halo2 every night from the day it was released until about a month before the 360 came out.
 
I've barely played COD4 online, never played with anyone on here and I got bored playing on my own. I think Halo 3 is perfect because it's just a less serious game (unless you're Alrik :p)

I respectfully disagree. COD WAW is like 4 minus the detail and soul. Its still a good game but 4 has been much more thoughtfully designed in all respects IMO.
