Ahh, I hear they all come with Benqs at least I doubt they are any better though.

I know at least the manufacturing dates are all August 2007 or greater, which is nice. My current 360 is October 2006 and I bought it in July. :eek:

Either benq which aren't any quieter than the samsungs (the one I heard anyway) or the hitatchi models (the noisiest ones).

Because the Wii and the PS3 have stolen its thunder and it may well be considered 'old news' in some circles.

You have to remember, those of us who are dedicated enough to gaming to post on internet forums about it are hardly typical gamers. :p

seems like the servers are still bust!

i had a decent ranked game on live last night but it's not showing up on bungie.net yet. went down to the last 15 seconds as well to decide who won the game! (sadly, i came 3rd as the winner killed me with virtually the last shot of the match!)
 
is this worth getting based on the following:

Not played Single Player on HALO 1 or 2 - just MP on HALO 1 PC.
I dont have a XBOX live sub. and am unlikely to get one this month
Also need to get the MS wireless adaptor, again not likely this month

Another note, im decent at FPS on the PC. But got my a* handed to me on GOW, would HALO3 have such a huge learning curve for someone not so inclined with a control pad?

I am able to get a game today though, so its NHL 08 or HALO3 - i have a £20 voucher, so its £25 either way.

Not really sure it is worth me getting HALO3 just for SP, im being sucked in by the hype, but my head is saying no.... maybe....:(:o
 
Tad annoying that mine hasn't arrived this morning. I did choose 2 business days on the 'Purple Place' website, but if you pre-order it says dispatched for release day anyway so i didn't think it would matter. And it says if you place an order before 2.00pm it will more than likely arrive next day, and i ordered at around 11.00am yesterday.

Did anyone who pre-ordered from this particular place receive it via Parcel Force or their normal postman from Royal Mail?
 
Also just finished it..

What a fantastic end to the trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed the single player.. not the longest of games.. about 14 hours on heroic i think i must have spent.

But the things that definitely stand out for me are:

The music - always amazing in Halo though..
The scale

Both of these are truly fantastic, the whole Halo lore has been done proud. I didnt want it to finish... and the game ended how it should have done... but youll have to wait and see for that. :p

Now to replay on legendary with my housemates when im back at uni.. also what are these skull things?
