HALO 3 Official Thread

Good games again last night everyone.

I'm still coming to terms with how awesome the multiplayer is.

Single player is still boring me, but that's probably because I haven't got past the first level because I keep jumping into MP :)

Right, i think its me being thick, but how come i can online play online (lonewolf i think its called) with myself with 4 other people? where are all the 16+ player maps etc?

It tells you the max players on the game types, Lone Wolves is max of 5, try Big Team Battles, get some 12-16 people in them i think.

Just finished the game, didnt like the ending at all :(

Considering they said it would wrap the whole story up, it just didnt seem to do that to me anyway, left too much open

Started replaying single player last night, I was stood next to some marines listening to what they had to say. Suddenly one blurts out a line who sounds just like Johnathan Ross! Is he in the game?

I remember hearing about this before launch, he is in it lol

I sent you a message online last night to appologise.
I was around from something like 4pm through til midnight to play Halo3, but I'd had Fifa dropped off and I wanted to try it out :).

I would recommend starting with the first game, but there is a disc with all the cut-scenes from the first 2 games to help yuo with the story. If you get that with the regular edition you're laughing :).

But it's all about multiplayer for me with Halo 3 :).

Id like to follow the story. I just dont know whether i can be bothered to play through 2 games first though.

I believe someone posted in this thread in regards to the backstories of both games. That will probably do you, though it might seem a little confusing and not as good.

I'm hoping someone will stick all those on youtube, its the one part of the legendary edition I would have liked.

Grr you don't get that with the standard ed. I was looking at the collector one and thought, why would I want this? Oh well time to download the cutscenes.

Another quick question for you all: is there an in game tutorial in case I am missing anything? All I can see at the start on the lower difficulties is they ask you to look at a red light, which seems to decide whether to flip your control scheme.
