***Halo MCC***

Played a few online games last night. Had to come out after each game as they kept hanging post game but the games themselves were fun. Apparently if the top right of the screen says 'In Lobby' while searching you are ok. If it says 'in session' or something like that then it wont work and you should back out.

Getting sick of having to redo large parts of the game due to save and quit not working. How can things like that slip through so easily?

Luckily, all the levels are unlocked so you can just pick and choose. I completed Crow's Nest on Halo 3, started Tsavo Highway and got a checkpoint. Save and quit. Then it started back at the beginning of Crow's Nest.

So I picked Tsavo Highway from the missions and it just carried on from there, still gave me the achievements and continued to the next mission when I'd finished it. Luckily, they allow you to do this - imagine if you were playing on Legendary. My disc and controller would have been hurled across town by now. :D

The achievements seem to unlock fine even if the menus think you haven't played that level. My Halo 2 counter still says 7/15 yet I have the Legendary achievement for every level and the whole game. Yes, it was bloody hard.

Some of mine haven't. I've completed several levels on Halo:CE and the achievements in the Xbox app have a blue bar across the bottom but are staying white and locked.

Hey guys, how much damage do you think the early online problems have given the longevity of this game?

Obviously, this game has replayability x1000 but I bet the community of players who bought it and found it broken will be tough to tempt back in the long term.

There are so many AAA games coming at the moment and MCC SHOULD occupy a unique spot, but has it already flubbed its lines?

Not much, its just such a huge amount to sell in one package, like I said, its nearly to much to have one developer sort, It'll prob be fixed by Thurs, theirs a patch on the way out Weds I think.

Ive seen people making a HUGE deal out of it, and its sad the the likes of Drive Club, which is still not working right to this day seems to get an almost free pass.

Took me well over an hour to get into a match last night.
(for anyone having issues with playing online with party, if you have achivement art turned on, apparently this causes issues, a Google search brought this up, seemed to speed things up for me when i turned it off)

However, when i am in a game, i am loving it, it truly brings back memories of spending week after week playing online.

Nothing beats the Chief! Id rather play Halo than have a girlfriend at the minute :D

I doubt it. Most people have played the halo games, they clearly re-bought it for a reason and that's the replay-ability. If that means playing unity etc for a couple of weeks while they sort out the bugs and then coming back to halo they will. Halo is the game you buy for when your mates come over and you all want to shoot some *$*% together and with 100 something maps it's gonna be a game to stay in your collection for a few years at least.

I think the players who have played halo before are happy to wait until it gets sorted BUT it will reduce player numbers of people who are new to the franchise/ trying it for the first time.

Less noobs for us to kill! :(

When you do get into a match it is awesome and brings back all the memories and fun of playing halo 2/ 3 online.

Because it is a huge deal. Games shouldn't be released this broken. Drive Club gets a free pass? A lot of people hate on Driveclub. I still hate on it almost daily.

Driveclub's bugs were well publicised. As were games like BF4.

The Driveclub devs haven't released many updates recently on the progress of the fixes, so there isn't much to report on.

And considering the size of the Halo fanbase, I think it is getting fair media coverage.

I seem to be able to find games much more quickly now, but the number of massive bugs is embarrassing.

Game 1: Got half way through and got an error saying something like " failed to upload file" I had to restart my xbox

Game 2: 5v3 and very laggy.

Game 3: Loading into a match, then got what I would describe as a bluescreen, could still hear the sound but image frozen, restart xbox

Game 4: Got "match incomplete" at the end of the game

Game 5: loading at the moment, into a 2v3 lol..

I still keep playing it though, even with its monumental bugs it's good fun.

Just hope this patch on Wednesday works.
