Yeah course, seems some have problems with opinions, did you actually read it?, never mind that someone actually said the same as me yet is not being hounded for having an opinion.

I said my opinion on Perez going to McLaren (as have others), really how was it a petty argument, it's a topical discussion in context with the thread, really can't see what you have a problem with.

The Perez possibility came from the article you posted.

Do you honestly think that given the choice between a Sauber seat and a McLaren seat Perez would choose Sauber?

Your not discussing, your arguing, as you keep refusing to even attempt to understand my point.

Not sure why me posting the article is anything special, the Perez possibility came from James Allen. I have no idea what he would choose maybe he sees his future at Ferrari, you would have to ask him that yourself :)

And no I have not argued, I have put my opinion as I am entitled too as you do as well, again you try and turn this into something it is not, it's not healthy that you constantly seek to do this. It honestly seems like you think nobody should ever disagree with you and if they do then they are in the wrong and just arguing for the sake of it.

Nice not-so-Ninja edit there. A tip - the forum sends emails.

I'd be tempted to go on a quote-a-thon of argumentative statements, but I've got better things to be doing with my time.

I'll stop now before I get argumentative. ;)

A bullet proof contract would not be "bought" out. So really save your high horse remarks. He did not honour the contract so he got out of it, no matter how you try to paint it.
Oh my god, how are you genuinely not getting this?

There is no contract in the entire world that can't be gotten out of, you simply have to stump up the cash to satisfy the other party (or pay up when sued). Therefore, if Button got out of his, there is absolutely no guarantee that Perez will 100% definitely no-returns cross-your-heart-and-hope-to-die be guaranteed to go to Ferrari. No matter what some words on a piece of paper say.

Erm I am the one saying no contract is bullet proof and can be gotten out of as we have seen plenty in F1, so not sure how you say I am not getting it? But if Perez has a Ferrari contract then he needs to get out of it before he can join another team, be it on his side or Ferrari's side, which is what I have said?

The mind boggles.

You F1 posters really are too much for me.

I assume he's boggled that you agree that F1 contacts can be 'got out of', yet don't think it would be possible for McLaren to sign Perez due to his Ferrari contract

And again not once did I say they could not sign him, but to do so they need to deal with his Ferrari contract, which you seem confused about.

But, that's what I have been saying all along? It may have been implied in my initial comment, but its been quite expicitly explained ever since.

Perez may be a Ferrari diver, but that means diddly squat if McLaren want him and all Ferrari can offer him is a Sauber drive and a half chance at a Ferrari seat in the future.
