Hangovers

Best cure for me in the morning is a pint of water and more sleep!!

For best results you need to make an attack before you go to bed :p. When you get in have a pint of water and a paracetamol. Along with basically any food and you'll feel fine in the morning!

Works for me every time I go out on the drinky and overdone it.

This is the only way I can avoid hangovers if I am that drunk to risk getting one.

To truly combat the hangover you need a plan of attack before you fall asleep/pass out. Drink as much water as possible before. You'll probably wake up two or three more times in the night to whizz like a race horse but that gives you the opportunity to drink more water as you get back to bed.

Do this and it usually reduces my hangover to next to nothing!

I hear sitting in a sauna sweats out all of your alcohol..never tried this anyone? :p

no, the reason you get hangovers is because of dehydration, furthering that with a sauna will not remedy your situation, only worsen.

stay away from coffee, its a diuretic , worsens your hangover.

water is the only key, much more effective if taken as a preventative measure.

mostly you have to live with a hangover once you have it.

saying that, i hear eggs are good for producing a lot more of the same enzymes that break alcohol down.

i don't recommend preventative pills , as that puts more strain on your liver.

It's not the worst hangover if you can actually get to work and post something on the internet. If it was, you'd still be in a soiled bed at home, crying.

Beg to differ, I've gotten up, vomited in bed, showered (vomiting in shower), gone to work, thrown up countless times and fallen asleep, been sent home, thrown up and slept for a bit when I got home, then gone to birmingham for a reel big fish gig. By this time the vomiting had subsided (largely because there wasn't anything left, it was just a gag reflex going), and i'd paid £20 for the ticket, no way i was wasting it. Had about 10 cans of red bull there, I did puke a couple of times at the gig, red bull help enourmously, don't remember much of the journey home though.

You can persevere with these hangovers that you actually think may be killing you, it just makes you vomit and pass out a lot.

trick with me, if I remember is to drink a pint of water before I go to sleep... Wake up in the morning, hardly any hangover, bacon sandwich and more water when I wake, and normally I will then feel fine...
