US: Hannibal

Death; everywhere death!

maybe ....

excellent end to the 2nd season. some of the camera work amazing again as was the artistic approach to even simple shots. thats what puts hannibal way in front now of many shows.

cant wait to see what happens next season

just gutted we have to wait now :(

A great ending to the season, even if I did know part of what was going to happen. The other part I didn't see coming and it's going to be a hard waiting to find out what happens next.

A good read about the ending of season 2 and what season 3 might contain. Seems we wont find out who survived etc until episode 2 of season 3 , bit of an odd decision after such a cliffhanger.

Watched the finale again last night and I realised something, the great masterplan to arrest Hannibal failed due to
Hannibal's keen sense of smell and not him outwitting the FBI.

The character apparently has a sense of small that can detect cancer on someone

Didn't see the sequence after the credits coming, that shocked me!

Now to read all 4 books to get my fix. Should be good having these portrayals in mind. Mads as Hannibal is amazing.

Dogs can do that alledgely. Its not absolutely impossible just unlikely in a human

I think the last episode was more a tie up kind of thing. Set fire to the fireworks box and hopefully it'll be enough to get the season renewed, success. Hannibal on the road should be different, does he go to Italy now?

It doesn't follow the books exactly, but it seems to be heading that way with Mason Verger now looking for revenge. 'Hannibal' is the only book I have read in the series so next season should be more familiar to me.

I feel like I should read all the books before watching any more.

well i cant wait the next season. if this show is following the books please dont put book spoilers in the tv thread cheers.

On the original plan to create a seven season story arc...

FULLER: Well, when you get into Season Four, you get into the literature. And so Season Four would be RED DRAGON, Season Five would be the SILENCE OF THE LAMBS era, Season Six would be the HANNIBAL era, and then Season Seven would be a resolve to the ending of that book.

I don't know if they're still sticking to that schedule or not though.

Where is there a spoiler from the books? It's obvious from the show mason will be after revenge after what happened to him...

I read in the article from IGN that it was more like 6 seasons now as they are not following the books completely and are cutting a few things out so it isn't too drawn out.

Apparently season 3 will be a mash up of the novel Hannibal and Hannibal rising.

Let's just hope it lasts that long. NBC aren't shy about cancelling shows and despite it being brilliant Hannibals rating numbers aren't far off where they often bring down the axe.

It mentions that in the IGN article as well. Apparently they had a couple of backup plans if NBC did cancel it, so hopefully if it does get canned by them after season 3, another network will pick it up.

Seems far too good a show to get cancelled. I wasn't sure at the start of season 2, but it just got better and better. The friday night time slot won't be doing it any favours it :(.
