Hanns-G HW191D Thread (Now £107.95 @ OcUK)

So mine arrived yesterday, and was sitting in its box wagging its little tail when I got home.
Boy was I thrilled!

I lovingly opened the box, pulled out the cables, lifted the polystyrene...

And dropped it :(

Haha, had you there!
The screen is superb, no dead pixels, astonishingly bright, had to wear sunglasses until I found the brightness control!

Widescreen gaming makes me drool, Warcraft never looked so fantastic :D

Now i really want one. The only thing stopping me is that i don't know anyone who will buy my old monitor and i can't really sell it over the net as it has no box :(

I may end up getting one and then another a few months later

I wonder if i can sell it to one of my friends who's still stuck with a CRT? ;)

DVI's in the post ;)
It didn't come with one in the box, so currently DVI adapter from PC to VGA cable on monitor.

And it looks fine :) Will be very interested to see the difference with a DVI cable in the mix. Will also free up the adpter for my 17" TFT to run on the second output.

Don't know what I would use it for, but hey :p

Joe, run the programme for a while if that doesn,t work dont despair just get your first finger and press it gently on the screen were the stuck pixel is and gently "and i mean gently" massage your finger against the screen or you could use an eraser at the end of a pencil to massage the area were the stuck pixel is.. :)
Yeah i'll give that a try.

You mean the display optimisation wizard joe? I ran through that and tweaked it my self seems to look alright now! Gonna try and get a dvi cable any way.... 360 looks awsome on this tho well impressed so far!
No but thats a good tool too.
I hate the way nvidia hide things, let me see if i can find that calbration screen.
Ok, its in the nView desktop manager rather than the display properties/nvidia control panel. Its under the tools tab, click calibration screen, then when its displayed press the auto adjust.

Hmm, really? I've heard conflicting reports on this. I'm pretty sure a previous poster in this thread was upset with how the 360 looked... maybe he was just using the wrong settings? What resolution are you using?

If you look at the screenie he took of his monitor it still had the protective covering on it look of course the screens going to look dull with that on :) ..

My lovely new HannsG:
