***Hardest Boss Thread***

Predator on the Amiga (or in my case Atari ST) is the hardest game i've ever played :/

Have to agree there, I borrowed it off a mate at school when I had my Amstrad CPC and managed to get to the Predator but I couldn't beat him. I later found out you couldn't shoot him but had to drop your weapon and fight him empty hand as in the film.

Couple of years later when I had my Amiga I picked the game up on budget to enjoy the superior graphics and because I had now actually seen the film and loved it. But I could never even manage to get to the Predator on the Amiga!

I cant get pass the boss in Diablo 1, its not the final final end one, its the one before that

i gave up on it, but I tried for weeks on that boss...
need to reinstall it and give it another go...

I would have to say the final boss on FarCry, still stuck on him now, havent reinstalled the game since my new CPU and Mobo but have the savegame backed up.

The last boss of super r-type.

When you know how, Emerald weapon can be killed using just Aeris and the right combination of materia.

For me it's Ultimecia the final boss in Final Fantasy 8. Got this game about 8 years ago and still haven't been able to kill the boss without cheats. Even with cheats I still found it hard.

Hardest Bosses I came across, all main bosses from King of Fighters 2001,2002,XI and Neowave. Last boss on Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the Mastersystem and those dam weapons on FF7

Personally it would have to be Lavos at the end of the old SNES RPG "Chrono Trigger"

Every time you beat a section of him and thought it was over, there seemed to be another one waiting to kick 7 kinds of the proverbial out of you... and the best characters to kill him with never had any decent healing spells!! Semi-turn based combat, but it was tough if you didnt time attacks right.

Anyone else remember playing this?

I'll prolly start a trent of wow bosses now :P but one of the most annoying/hardest bosses pre tbc for me was heigan the unclean, that was just annoying soo many deaths on that fight, similary was broodlord lashlayer, cos of the depression before the actual fight lol

Psychonauts - A few of the boss battles were brilliant because they were never straight-forward, and there were usually a few less-than-obvious things you had to do before, or while fighting them. One of the smartest and funniest games I've ever seen. Brilliant.

Far Cry - end boss was very difficult but not in a good way, or a clever way, it was just stupid, or as Cevat Yerli himself described the last levels: "horrible".

Didn’t get that far in the game but that was typical Squareenix/soft back then and still is now. Get to the end of their RPG's and it was boss after, after boss, after boss, after boss, cut scene.......hey, another boss!!!! With no saving or check points between battles.
