The BBC article states this:
"A new rule came into force last month prohibiting harmful gender stereotypes in adverts, following a review of gender stereotyping by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA)."
I get that it is a gender stereotype of sorts, but is it really a harmful one? I have noticed now that adverts and other media catered towards women featuring attractive men don't get any of this sort of criticism at all. I don't care either way to be honest, but I hate the double standards. If they are going to come out with this rubbish then it should be done across the board not just to shut the militant feminists up when they moan about something.
