Harry and Meghan to resign

Charles even denied the royal todger a crown... cruel..

Elsewhere, he reveals that he was circumcised as a baby, despite numerous reports detailing that he was not.

He says the question of whether he and his brother William were circumcised “was a matter of public record, and indeed some public curiosity”.

“There were countless stories in books, and papers (even The New York Times) about Willy and me not being circumcised.

“Mummy had forbidden it, they all said, and while it’s absolutely true that the chance of getting penile frostbite is much greater if you’re not circumcised, all the stories were false. I was snipped as a baby.”

Thing is now they have got nothing else.

They have to sell the dirty laundry because what else is going to bring in the ££££.

but at some point fairly soon the majority of people who lap this up are going to move on to something else.

Presumably then she dumps him and goes back to acting. He comes crawling back to Dad with his hand out.

Meghan's got her book coming out later, cue more interviews....

That's the sad thing. Everyone else can see it coming. She can go back to acting or just generally being a "sleb" (reality TV etc.) but unless he wants to literally end up doing I'm A Celebrity or Strictly, he's not got much going for him once all these tales are told.

Boredom is inevitable which incentivises getting it out quickly since they don't really have the means to keep it interesting in the longer term.

The only thing they can do now is start throwing out all the pretty much state secret cover ups that have undoubtedly happened which if they're cowards they won't do.

I wish this boy would stop airing his dirty laundry on such a global, self destructive scale.

It’s not going to end well, that much is for sure. It’s too Hollywood not to be directed by other parties either.

It's funny that the tweet you're quoting is actually ageist. I've never heard any of my Grandparents say anything racist yet their generation is constantly labelled as such.
Working with the general public, I do hear racist elderly people. Calling Asian people using the offensive p word. Voting Brexit due to them (they forget that Asians arrived in Leicester arrived 15-20 years before UK was a member of the EU).

Most elderly people don’t know that they are racist. I remember working at a call centre, I took the call and said the usual greeting ‘thank you for calling (company) you are through to (my name). He said “a non P***.” Then went on a racist rant. I said to him, unless you drop the racist stuff, I’m going to terminate the call. He continued to say racist stuff and ended the call.

Fortunately, the system we used brought up the customer’s account up if they ring us on from one of their numbers on their account. Manager went onto account and put a strong advisory note that should be passed onto a manager next time he rang.

He can go do crop dusting or something.

How strange. I work with the public too, and quite a number of the public I work with are over 70 and continually surrounded by doctors and nurses of south and south east Asian origin. Yet I can't remember a single one uttering anything racist. Where do you live that you have gaggles of racist pensioners walking around?

Forgive me I have not seen the whole conversation but All I get from this is you had a call from an elderly person who said a p word and so you think most elderly people are racist.

Are they not saying that most of the elderly that say racist things dont know they are being racist, rather than most old people are racists.

Which ironically is the same sort of thinking behind plenty of racism... I experienced or observed this behaviour from that group and now I'm generalising to cover the whole group.

Maybe DM's Jan Moirs is Clarkson's new nom de plume ?

its his personal lived truth everyone doing it, no filters ... michell obama's currently reading hers daily on r4 ( most of r4 content is good )

nothing racist but frequently multiple older relations find the asian doctors incomprehensible(norfolk/kettering...) , especially if you have poor hearing,
NHS has been recently accused of stealing foreign doctors with career/wage carrots, but language credentials often seem to be remiss,
similarly they have problems with call centres eg. bt/sky

spot on, the misconception amongst GenZ that racism used to be much worse 80s 90s, with current polarization/social media/brexit ... I'd say it's increasing

Not at all. Some elderly people haven't adapted their attitude of multi cultural UK since the 50s, when they were in their 20s.

You cannot have a hospital visit without involvement of non-white or born outside UK staff. Even ones you don't see. Such as the ones that prep up operating theatres and get your medical records out from the records office - are two examples.

You're justifying generalising old people as racist based on a few anecdotes, yet if someone were to justify saying something negative about Asian or Black people based on a few anecdotes you'd think they were terrible. How are you this unironically ignorant?

It's way less, and better, than it was in the 80s and early 90s.

Racist and homophobic banter was commonplace, everywhere. I remember that clearly.

Nazi skins were a common sight back in the early/ mid 80s. And they weren't just chatting nonsense on the internet, they were battering people, daily.
