JK thought to be heavily involved.

I’m interested.

Season for every year.

Sounds better than a complete reboot of the films.

Internet meltdown from the crazy’s already happening

My only objection is it feels too soon. What is it 22 years since the first film was released? And they still look very good, film making hasn’t moved on that far.

A load of British actors will be jostling for some of these roles. 7 or 8 years of a near certain hit cha-ching.

I fail to see how they can recast Arthur Weasley or Sirius Black, they nailed those roles. In fact casting will be a total nightmare for all the roles.

Uh oh, the usuals aren't going to like this!

Don't think anyone's happy about anything these days are they?

I think the movies after number three sucked as they diverged far too much (including the third) wouldn't mind seeing a more true telling of the stories, with no random lightning bolt colliding battles please.

don’t think I would like film reboots but if done right a TV series sounds ok.

More time to spend on each book.

Also let’s be honest it’s HBO, production value will be off the chart.

Biggest problem who on earth is going to play Snape and Hagrid

Tbh half the problem will be the kids, unless they can get this filmed quickly each season. Even a couple of years per book could age some too quickly

Loved the original books and movies. Cursed child was very good and the Fantastic Beasts stuff is above average. I have 100% faith if JKR is involved she will stop WB/HBO messing it up.

BUT, Hard to say more without story details. I mean if they tell the original stories again in series form it won't really draw in any new fans. Every actor will be compared to the originals. For fans like me I guess it would be great to see plot lines from the books that were left out of the movies for time reasons.

They probably couldn't reuse any of the original cast due to death, old age or fear of JKRs views.

Far too many iconic characters, Maggie Smith's McGonagall for instance, which would be impossible to substitute in leading roles, at least even this "soon" - from the sounds of it the TV series would be based on each book but not necessarily from the same perspective - not quite sure how that would work.
