Has making a pass at a woman just become illegal?

That's interesting, since men are more likely to be randomly attacked than women (source).

Obviously rape is significantly worse than getting a kicking and mugged for your phone/wallet, but maybe that reason is as @PlacidCasual suggests - because they are told to feel that way?

Do you think that might be because women don't feel safe to put themselves in the situation where they might be attacked where as men do?

Now do the same thing for sexual attacks, is that still males mainly being attacked?

tut tut, sounds to me like you are victim-blaming there.

it all falls under the umbrella of violent crime doesn't it. Still doesn't distract from the fact that a man is far more likely to be the victim of a violent crime than a woman is of being raped. Given women are more likely to be raped by a male person they know, maybe they should stop having male friends?

No, the assertion made is that she likely had a mental illness based on the way she rudely responded to @rhobbyh for simply holding the door open.

The purple hair colour point was a separate one in what can often be a telltale sign for someone who is going to give you grief for doing so based off the memes.

OK, I'm not entirely sure you're being honest but I'll take it at face value and accept that you were suggesting she had a Mental Illness based on her actions.

So instead you're just saying that you prejudge people who dye their hair bright colours as being likely to cause you grief?

And as such you treat then differently than you would other people due to this prejudgement?

Or is it the memes fault this time?

My kids have gone all PC on me, everything is now politically correct and and very PC with them, its all transgender this and LGBTQ (or whatever it is) that.

Not saying there is anything wrong with that, I'm all for a persons right to be what they want to be, but its a bit to much now when you cant say the wrong thing, which wasn't wrong not to long ago, without getting lambasted.

"Woke" seems to be the new buzz word.

Of course it is. Both ends of the politics of this want the culture war and so keep it front and centre for the rest of us. The sensible 80% in the middle get swept up into it. I think this is all down to social media as these issues have always been there on the fringes but before that is where they would remain, now its in everyone's faces.

I'm glad someone see's what I was getting at. :)

The idea that because someone dye's their hair they can be "pre-judged" to having a Mental Illness is laughable and utterly ignorant of the truth.

Worse still is the (apparent) suggestion that those with Mental Illnesses are somehow "not worth bothering with", which for most suffers of Mental Illness is the most detrimental thing possible.

Plus as you rightly say, there are tens of thousands of people who dye their hair blonde their entire lives, or those who do it to cover up the grey - I wonder whether they are perceived as "worth bothering with" ?

Just bizarre.

I have the need to ask you a personal question, forgive me. What are your feet like? Constantly walking on tiptoe, as if on broken glass must take its toll? I'm afraid, like it not, someone with bright green hair is still perceived by many as someone at best eccentric.

I have the need to ask you a personal question, forgive me. What are your knuckles like? Constantly dragging on the ground must take it's toll? I'm afraid, like it or not, neanderthals with archaic views like yours are going extinct.

It really isn't that deep. On a personal level, no, I'm not going to close the door when the Joker is walking towards me. If they try anything on though they'll get as good back as they give.

No they're not. How many times do I have to point this out? The attitudes you're claiming you don't like are on the rise in this country.

It's a bit ironic that you're having a go at this poster for something you claim is "pure ignorance" when you provide nothing with which to back up your claims. Note also he didn't claim that mental illness was necessarily the direct motivation for dying their hair, that people dye their hair for any number of reasons doesn't negate the possibility of an association such as one the other poster believes exists.

Has anyone studied this? Apparently so:

So who is actually the ignorant one here? @Ayahuasca or @Devilman

Wow a non peer reviewed study.

In another thread the liberal left are whining about Elon Musk buying Twitter, on another forum they are having seizures about Suella Braverman, our Home Secretary, and the probability of what they fear will be fairly right wing Republicans pushing Biden out of the White House. I won't mention the costs of keeping down "neanderthals" to our east.... :) Looks like they are still of some significance and not without clout or leverage to me.

I'm not surprised, the rise of Andrew Tate etc and the number of single lonely young men on the increase

Are they? I'd like to see some evidence for that. Even if they are they still make up a small minority and as they die out they won't be replaced in the same numbers.
