I think we're beginning to see the law swing past the point of reasonable efforts to address a real problem to unreasonable. I can well imagine there will be a number of edge cases where this law is used to unnecessarily crush someone.

I got into trouble once for sending a load of emails to this girl I was obsessed with at her work. She got a restraining order on me but I couldn’t stop. Ended up in prison on remand for a couple of days before it went to the high court.

Whilst in prison I saw a psychiatrist who recognized I was suffering from a mental illness and he testified on my behalf in court. It was a civil case anyway not a criminal one, that’s when I first realized I had a mental health problem.

I agree, scantily clad women walking the streets can bring needless attention upon themselves if they find such easily avoided attention displeasing.

Whereas back in normal society what a women wears should not be an invitation to be verbally abused in a sexual manner.

I remember my mum telling me that in the 80’s, she couldn’t walk past a building site or scaffolding without being wolf whistled. Never bothered her at all.

Back in the 50s/60s my Mum loved it while I was walking 10 yards behind her
