setter, given the outlay required, would a 5820K be a worthwhile upgrade for a video encoding machine over the 4790K?
I can budget £600 within the next 4 weeks so any chance of a quick spec up for me to run with. Cheers.

Ha. i7-920 overclockers were happy staying below 90 °C at 4 GHz!I've yet to clock the 5820k, still reading up on it before diving in. But the 4790k would often hit the mid 70's in games when clocked at 4.7.
Hey guys,
Been messing about with overclocking since I got the new setup and just wanted to ask a few questions.
I am currently sitting on 4.5ghz, with 1.25v and getting idle temps of around 30-33 average over all cores with a max of 50-53 whilst playing games. This is on air though - Phanteks cooler.
Literally all I have changed is multiplier, set RAM frequency manually, and also set the vcore manually. What else should I be changing in the bios settings if any?
And for air, based on what I have seen I have a lot of headroom temp wise to push further but I think I will leave it as is for the time being.
