Why did these have to come out now lol.
Just spent over £1000 on a monitor and speakers alone and now im feeling the itch with these if the upgrade is worth it.
Running a i5 3570k @ 4.6 at the moment. Im curious how much of a difference ddr4 + board + cpu would make.

The difference in benchmarks and E-Peen will be huge !

The wait is killing me

If I order I want it for delivery tomorrow? Not sure if anywhere will be doing Saturday delivery so late in the afternoon , NDA end isn't until around 4-5pm..

Boards from Gigabyte available and looking good. RAM appears to be main issue at the moment but since X99 is just going live by the end of the day we may see a lot more available.

Haha Gigabyte X99 mobo's now in stock but the X99 CPU's have vanished !

Gonna go for 5820K, Gigabyte X99 UD4 and 16GB DDR4 2133mhz. Want to see if prices are competitive and delivery for tomorrow, then I'll grab that lot lol.

Hopefully one of you gents can answer this,

Will the Corsair Hydro H105 Extreme CPU cooler (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-025-CS) fit in the CM690 III Case (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-344-CM) and will it be compatible with X99?

Also will this be adequate to cool the 5820K?

Looks like it would fit on top.
And someone at OCuk said that existing watercooling blocks and heatsinks will fit, mounting is same as for x79, so why aio wouldn't ?

Ah ok, if the mounting is the same as X79 I should be good to go. Anybody used a H105? Will this be good enough for 5820K?

I have the h100i so not that different from the 105, with 2 corsair sp fans it kept my CPU @ 26 idle and around 68 under load

Also the 2011 fitting works with x99

Cheers, no not for this one. So busy for next couple weeks I won't have much time. Gonna try and put in the bits when I get a chance. Not sure when it will be done, CPU not in stock either so might be week after next. When not so busy will post some benchy's etc when all finished.

Looking forward to seeing other peoples setups and results. Guessing people still waiting on parts.

Torn between the 5820k or the 5930k, can't bloody decided at all.

Don't think I'll be using more than two cards in the future so other than the pci lanes, is there any other difference between the two?

The main difference that counts is about a £180 saving between the two chips. The 5930K has 100mhz higher stock clock and 12 extra PCI Lanes, apart from that it's the same.

The 5820K 28 lanes won't hinder two GPU's at all. I mean people run two GPU's with the 16 lane 4770K / 4790K and have no problems.

I would get the 5820K and let money saved go towards the system memory so it's less of a burden. The 5820K is blinding value.

The 5820k is a fantastic CPU at a very appealing price, ruined because of the prices of DDR4.

+1 to this, DDR4 price is a bit of a pity, because otherwise there is hardly anything in the price between this and a Z97 setup.

I guess the only consolation with buying DDR4 is that you're buying into something that will become the new standard, so in it's longevity will still mean you get your moneys worth of use out if it.

For those looking for DDR3, there will 32GB kit going on MM very soon
