*****HASWELL PROCESSORS, MAINBOARDS & SYSTEMS NOW IN STOCK AT OcUK!!!!*****

UD4H, looks the doggies danglies.

Yeah, cant help but think if the UD3H would be fine for me though, as at the end of the day my main concern is if the UD3H will OC just as well as the UD4H, the extra bells and whistles dont concern me that much. If the UD3H can get the haswell to 4.6-4.8 then i dont really need the UD4H as the layout and slots are all the same, so what could the UD4H offer more?

Potentially (but not necessarily) better OC potential, and it has a different colour scheme. I'm pretty sure that's about it.
Everything else seems to be identical. :)

Yeah i know shame they dont do a yellow scheme in that series would match my Crucial Ballistic Tactical ram, begs the question should i also consider the Z87X-OC which is the same price as the UD4H

The OC is pretty much aimed specifically at overclocking enthusiasts who want to push their CPU to the extreme for benchmarking or record breaking. It also has two PCI slots in the place of PCI-E slots for some reason. (someone told me this may be due to overclocking enthusiasts requiring some kind of PCI expansion card)

That said, it does support 4 way CrossfireX whereas the UD4H only supports 2 way CrossfireX, but I doubt most people would be particularly fussed by that.

They do, the UD5H :) However it is a hefty £209.99. I'm not entirely sure how it differs to the UD4H, but i'm sure a quick search around the internet would tell you. :p
It quite likely just has an even better power phase setup.

Wow that board looks like quite something...

Maybe post it in the product suggestions sub-forum? :)

Maybe, it seems like there is no UK stock of it, but it's available in the US, so Im unsure if it's just gigabyte being slow or not. But looks like it's more expensive than the G1 Sniper and not too sure a board is worth ~£400

Still debating on getting Haswell at this point though, the boards are what is going to sell me if I do.

If I had the money...

I'm actually stuck on deciding if I should get the 4770S or plain 4770 as I don't plan on overclocking (and the CPU cooler to get).

Oh you would if you had the money? I'll remember that and remind you in the future :D

I would personally go for a 4770K regardless in-case you change your mind further down the line. The ability to overclock could eliminate the need to upgrade your CPU again in the semi-distant future. You could always run it at stock settings for the time being. It would probably hold its value a little better too :)

hope grid2 is still available on the last friday of the month xD, also, when are the asus and gigabyte mitx boards coming? :D

anyone know if the Thermaltake ToughPower 1200W i picked up in 2007 is compatabe? probably a longshot, but no point in changing a good psu!

So other than the slightly faster clock and iGPU what does the 4770k offer over the standard 4770, I would have though for OC potential the 100mhz isn't going to make that much difference?

The "K" has an unlocked multiplier making overcloking easier.
