Hated Religon

Yup, a pillar of salt for looking back on Sodom.

Seems a perfectly rational punishment...

Eh, she was told not to. You don't mess with Old Testament God.

The issue of looking back was not just the act of turning round... it was about clinging on to a past life that she was commanded to leave.

The leaders wanted as many fit healthy people for their own religion as possible. Ergo, the 'no spilled seed, no contraception etc argument as well'

Do you have any basis for that argument, or are you just making things up? Do you even know the story in which the seed is sinfully spilt? Without Googling I mean?

Apologies I misread your post but the sentiment remains - religious discrimination is an equal to discrimination by colour, race etc.

Whilst on the really important topic of religion, did you get my post about me ordering from Myprotein and the fact you have receievd bonus points for me ordering some whey powder from them? Forget god, we will be bigger! ;)

Still, hardly the actions of a 'forgiving' god is it :p

the old testament God isn't supposed to forgiving.
And neither was Elisha for that matter, who clearly had a solution to dealing with unruly teenagers:
2 Kings 2:23-24 said:
From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.
Much more effective than an ASBO anyway.
