Have i been an idiot..?

To the two above replies: I didn't mean sex right there and then but she was clearly interested in the bloke and it would have been an easy pull :)

Can I just make one small point to all those saying she was offering herself....

Women have absolutely no problem with being friendly, polite, smiling, even flirting with men they don't actually fancy.

Just because men don't usually talk to women they don't have reason to unless they fancy them, it's not the same the other way round.

Ok well based on the circumstances she was either a really big flirt or was actually interested, but chances are the latter as only some girls are really big flirts. Either way he had nothing to lose by going for it.

lol@ bikes reply did you not read that there was only 2 pumps that were clearly labelled!

my wife just said this, she may just be being polite because she really didnt know and thought that you looked kind enough to answer without looking down at her.

I'm not actually disagreeing with you, given the circumstances it might have been worth trying to at least get her name. I just don't think it's worth worrying over.

only recently passed test and first time she was filling up?
cant read?
colour blind?

could be many reasons for asking, but its good she felt that she could ask rather than potentially make a mistake.

I was filling my car and she came up to me and said her car needs unleaded petrol and she didn’t know which pump to use, bear in mind there was only two pumps diesel and unleaded both clearly labelled you couldn’t really get it wrong, she was smiling and I politely told her it was the green one she needed.

1) Just because you are new to the road doesn't make you an idiot
2) I HIGHLY doubt that
3) The pumps were clearly labelled unleaded and diesel.

edit: Oh wait she was blonde, nevermind she clearly was just too stupid to know which pump was which I concede :D

Are you seriously trying to say it is impossible to be unsure which pump to use? Because that's how it seems.

Oh well i do feel gutted but next time I'll have to just go for it,

Thanks for the replies

Still would be nice to see what the ladies think.

Yeah, you should go for it, if you ask if a girl wants to go out for a drink and she says no, you're unlikely to ever see her again, and if you don't ask, then you're just as unlikely to see her again, so you have nothing to lose.

Having said that, I probabaly wouldn't have the bottle anyway

Well she knew her car needed unleaded and there was only two pumps to choose from, diesel and unleaded which were both clearly labelled as those things. The only times i've seen people put the wrong one in is when they thought their car was petrol when it was diesel and vice versa.

I find it interesting that most people here wouldn't have had the bottle to try it on, perhaps people have approach anxiety or a fear of rejection. As Evil-Penguin said you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
