I doubt you'll think you've made a mistake once you've played it :) I personally think all 3 of the current consoles on the market place are jaw dropping - you wont be disappointed :D

Hi :)

I asked my mum if i could have a PS3 for christmas, and she bought it on saturday. ( Good deal actually, 60gb with rachet/clank, V tennis 3, fifa 08 and lair for £350, last one in game ;) )

So i'll have that for chirstmas, but i am having second thoughts on wether i actually want one. I've got a 360 now, and i have a few good friends on live and generally think it is much better then PSN after playing on my brothers and a friends PS3. Which would mean i buy pretty much all multiplats on the 360. Then i'm down to the exclusives really. Missing MGS/GT5 would b a bit annoying, but there will be good 360 games aswell.

Then there is the blu-rays, which while it would be nice i probably wouldn't buy to many of, especially as i play games a lot more then watch DVD's.

Then i just feel i really want one. Probably i am such a sony fanboy really, dunno.

You didn't make a mistake, the PS3 is a fantastic console, and has some great games, the only mistake you made here was annoucing it on these forums lol

Spoiled eh, parents buy a £350 bundle for christmas and maybe "i dont want it". You could always sell it and give away the money to unfortunate children that only have playstation 2's to play, so they can help them upgrade.

I don't regret getting the PS3, sure Sony seem a little bit slow getting things fixed, I mean come on, still no private chat

I must admit, I was getting worried at the prospect of games no longer fitting on the 360 discs, but that's not such a huge deal in retrospect, they'll just have to use more than one I guess.

The PS3 hardware is better, I feel, than that of the 360 - my 360 started getting disc spin down problems 3 months after I purchased it, and I still haven't got around to sending it back :o

What I have noticed, in the games were most people are on chat, is that you seem to get more mature people playing, rather than screaming yank kids ala Live.

I still enjoy the 360, don't get me wrong, and I'm certainly not a fanboy of either (last console owned was a Dreamcast), it's nice to have both though, in the event one gets something the other doesn't etc.

Just be glad you folks were happy to splash out that much on you, some people aren't that lucky.

Scort.

Yep.. I've got the PS3 and 360.. I don't really care too much that the PS3 is more of distraction then a full time interest for me, If you don't have both you are always left wondering..

And if someone else buys it for you.. as Phil Tuffnell would say, Happy Days...

is that the gaming equivalent of the 3rd world? is only owning a ps2 now akin to lacking water, eclectricity and education? ;)

i'd take the ps3, there's not loads i really want to play on it at the moment but it's a blu ray player and there are some quality games coming out for it.

if you havent bought it. And you want it to play games like resistance and MGS4, GT:HD & Little Big Planet and Playstation HOME then your a lucky mucker!

At the risk of sounding like a complete fanboy etc, I think it might have been a bit of a mistake. I mean, the two consoles are rather similar and you did say you were already going to get multi platform released on the 360. It is hardly a bad thing to have both, but I would have thought you could have got something else that might get more use etc. I mean, £350 is a hell of a big present. But at the end of the day, it was a good bundle at a good price. So long as you get a few more games over its life span, its hardly going to waste.
