Have you run Winrar Cpu Bench Mark?

1.575 on the chip...stock volts on motherboard chips. No vdroop....

and I dunno what to tell you...are you on water? I had mine up to 3.19ghz (290fsb) before on 1.625v to see what the max was on the chip but it failed orthos in less than 10 min.

if its not too much trouble, can someone do this test on a standard not overclocked e6300 @ 1.8ghz please.

i get 1020kb/s on my rig in my sig at standard clock speeds, still seems low.

My mates X2 4200 had the same kind of problem - he got a very very low score ... my opty beats your dual core score with "multithreading" unchecked!

His ones got a problem though cos it seems to be under clocking itself - both cores were only at 1ghz :p

That will be due to having 'cool & quiet' enabled in the bios and the appropriate power management profile set in windows. 1Ghz is the idle speed when running cool & quiet iirc.

Using a friends pc at the moment until my new one comes:

E6300 at 2.1Ghz:

Resulting KB/s 925
Current KB/s 920

Processed MB 240mb
Elapsed time: 4:30mins

1020kb/s is more than I'm seeing at 3.2GHz!

WinRAR 3.61, multithread box checked, Task Manager shows both cores used.

822 kbps on:

E4300 @ 3.2GHz on P5N-E with the RAM 1:1 at 712MHz 4,4,4,12 T2 on 32-bit Vista.

:::TO EVERYONE WHO SHOULD HAVE GOOD PERFORMANCE AND IS NOT:::

As said a few pages ago, it is more than likely you have very lose ram timings.

With my conroe I was only getting 800 and something, because I forgot to do my ram timings for like a month with my new system :D this Winrar test reminded Me to do it and my scores basically doubled...

Today my RAM is set to 840MHz, 4,4,4,12 2T.
CPU at 3.2GHz (9x 355).
WinRAR benchmark: 759KB/s

That's with 3.70 Beta 6. Seems a bit slower than the 3.61 I had before.
