Some people find they get problems doing it that way if you make a shortcut for afterburner then go into properties of the shortcut and add /xcl leave a space after the " at the end (you will now what i mean when you see it)to the end save then click the shortcut it comes up with limits have now been extended press okay go back into properties remove the /xcl save then reboot the comp it will have made the limits higher this is the official way and removes any problems with flickering and profiles not being saved.

There is a thread in here that shows you also.

i have now made one come on in to the wf3 appreciation society! lol

Got my card today, but won't be able to use it untill i get the rest of my components, but noticed it's got a DVI-I and a HDMI port.

My monitor (philips 244E) also got both, just wondering what will give the best results, connect via DVI-I or via HDMI ?

Quick update: I have purchased Arctic MX-4 thermal compound and have reseated the TF3 heatsink. There is some improvement but it's still pretty bad. At stock speed the core temp still goes up to 82°C with fans at 87% auto controlled. At a more tolerable fan speed level of max 60%, the temperature will easily exceed 85°C. This is at prolonged 100% GPU load.

spoffle had the same on both of his as well. Replacing the TIM helped but not really resolving it.

Your best bet would be to trust ScottiB and ask him.

I haven't purchased the card at OCUK, was just searching for other people with overheating issues and found this thread. OCUK appears to be very flexible with this and will accept the card for RMA, but my retailer and MSI techsupport say that the card is performing as it should

Reseating the heatsink was a possible solution as there have been issues with incorrectly applied or bad thermal grease, but that was obviously not the issue with my card. I'm out of ideas :(

In that case, get in contact with the MSI rep ScottiB in this thread. If you enable "Trust" you should be able to send him a private message.

Just researched the 7870 LE, it seems like a good bang for buck.
Maybe they will relase 7950 LE (Probably not)

Has anyone ordered one of these cards since OcUK confirmed they'd had a fresh batch of these? any issues with it?

About to order one but don't want to end up with a bad card.

I would just skip MSI on 7950 as they wanted to use 7970 pcb, scoti said something.
Go for Gigabyte or HIS, both great choices.

I recently purchased a 7950 MSI and it has been working perfectly.

On idle I get around 27 and under 100% gpu usage for prolonged periods it never goes above 66. So if you're thinking about getting one, I would think MSI is fine to buy now.

66 on load is still pretty hot...

Also the fan profile on the tf3 is quite relaxed untill it reaches ~65c, so without knowing further details (could still be at a quiet 50% or less) we can't say. The idle is certainly lower than mine was (after replacing paste single screen ~33c).

Those temps seem ok to me, hopefully Msi have finally sorted these cards, too late for me as I bought a Gigabyte WF3 7950 when the duff batch of Msi cards were highlighted. :)
