Havn BF 360

Wow, what a case!

Just transplanted everything from my Meshify C case to the HAVN 360 Flow.

A great case to work with. Plenty of room and cable management is great. Only doh moment for me was not realising that the fan hub had a SATA power connector than needed to be connected in or for it to work :o

I need to muck around with fan curves in Fan Control software but I basically didn’t touch it based on config for my old case. So I have the case fans ramping up the following percentages depending if the CPU of GPU temp hits the following:

35 Degrees - 20%
55 Degrees - 40%
64 Degrees - 60%
75 Degrees - 80%

CPU cooler is a Peerless Assasain running similar profiles.

Running Prime 95 small FFT test on my old case (2x140mm intake and 1x120mm exhaust), temps very quickly reaches 89 degrees for my 5800X3D and bounce on and off the limit.

With the HAVN, it’s pegged at 82 degrees.

The Prime Small FFT torture test is an absolute extreme test and nothing I do day to day will stress the CPU like that, ever. But I like to run it to see worst case scenario.

Even running at 20% fan speed I can feel the air, so definitely need to tinker with Fan Control software. I think even max of 50% fan speed will be more than sufficient but I’ll monitor it with some gaming over the coming days.

No idea.

I suspect the 360 and 420 cases were researched and developed before BTF was thing. Wouldn’t surprise me if they did a slight revision in future to support it to be honest.

But the cable management is so good the only thing I really notice is the 24 pin power and power going into my 9070XT.

I personally think BTF has its purpose/use in a fish tank style case but not in a standard case style. I would have even liked an option of a solid panel instead of glass for the 360.

I really like the HAVN cases and after using a 420 I would not want to switch to another manufacturer.

I will be sticking with HAVN but it would be nice for my next build to have BTF option.

I don't think companies like Asus are getting BTF right, you can buy their top cards (5090 Matrix and Astral) which support the format but their top motherboards (like the ROG Crosshair X870E Extreme)
do not.

This means it could be some time before a lot of Case manufacturers find it worthwhile to cater for BTF.

Might be why there was no BFT support then from HAVN.

I’m personally a bit old school and like my PC case to look like one. Although it’s hard to buy a decent, standard case that doesn’t have a side glass window these days.

Mind you, I’ve just ordered some braided PSU extension cables as the current PSU 24 pin and GPU cables are looking unsightly :o

BTF and a lack of included 140mm front fan brackets are pretty much why I wasn't bothered with the HAVN.

Part of me regrets it, I love the look of the HAVN and its well built after all, but in the end the NZXT H9 Flow 2025 was on sale and so were the P14 Pro PST standard and reverse fans. Just need to find time to transplant everything over and see how I get on with it.
I hate cables, and what cables I do have showing I like dressed neatly, hence CableMod or extensions. It was also a big part of my GPU choice.

There are some great PSU bargains out there, sadly the manufacturers of most power supplies leave you with cables that look not exactly desirable.

Having seen the latest MSI back connect boards and a few builds, I do hope to see more back connect become the norm. Hopefully in colours other than white as currently that is all MSI and Gigabyte seem to be releasing.

I guess worst case scenario is print off some adapter brackets not ideal should be included .

Also at the moment only the haven 180mm fans are available so not standard size yet.

Would prefer to stock with 140mm fans for now

Those 180mm fans are pretty epic. They push a phenomenal volume of air compared to the Arctic Cooling 140mm fans I had previously at the same fan speed.

But as you say, the size isn’t standard so a failed fan at some point down the line will mean very restricted options.
