Haze Demo out!!

The only thing going for Haze is that it has the smoothest and most responsive aiming and movement controls. They have that down to perfection. I reckon if they also sharpen the graphics up, put rumble on the guns and reduce the reliability of nectar to see enemies which should have more added hitpoints, it would be a much better game.

We do know this demo is from a build that's well over a year old - before the delays began. So there's still hope yet.

this is the 2k6 trailer which if it was claimed to be in game then sony really were taking the ****.

Free Radical, not Sony. Free Radical is a third party developer who is in no way affiliated with Sony (who seems to be taking a lot of unnecessary flak in this thread, poor guys!)

I seriously doubt the demo would be an old build, it would be totally counter productive for free radical to have released anything but the finished engine. What i'm hoping for is a Resistance affair, where the development of the game clearly improves as you progress, since the Haze demo is an early level (which is better than the early levels of resistance) then hopefully it will prove to be a great game in later segments.

There is a variety of weapons available in the full game and from the videos i've seen very little of the in game footage has been within a tropical scene like the one that the demo takes place in, so we can only hope it isn't a full representation of the game and later segments will prove more interesting.

I'd rather it be like Bioshock and be consistently fantastic looking throughout.

Who wouldn't... well actually me, because i got bored of bioshock but you get my point!

I never expected this game to be anywhere near as impressive as bioshock (even though i didn't like it i do admire its amazing production and storytelling ability), i actually expected it to be cack. The demo is not only average, which is more than i expected, it's actually got elements that show quite a bit of promise such as excellent controls and above average AI (and the nectar failure intrigued me). It could turn out to be a good game in its finished form, but only time will tell.

Ok I have to say the demo was bordering on generic. It was Point A to B, fighting waves of enemies that rarely present a challenge. Then at the end there was the extremely typical "Hold off the rebels until help arrives" except it was nowhere near as exciting as it could have been (eg like in COD games).

The Simpsons

The demo sucked :p
Never subjected myself to such crap. :D
Burnout Paradise, I hated the demo..

Although I can't see Haze getting any better, at the moment the only thing going for it is the co-op but tbh that''s not enough.

Demo was identical to the retail game though, only real differences being more features and events in the full game. (as expected)

Can't see Haze changing much gameplay wise between now and the final release, the problem with Haze is the generic gameplay, not the lack of content.
