Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

WHAT?! so what is the real price for it and which one is a promotion?

£699 normal price. Yesterday it was the 25 day advent calender special offer, £100 off.

Sorry you missed it. I meant to post a link to it in here but got side tracked at work.

Surprised an ocuk member of staff didn't post an update on the monitor forum to bring it to people's attention.

I was so tempted to buy one for £599 but my gf would kill me as I would need a new desk as well as it's too big hence I am waiting for the 27" screen.

Nearly bought the 30" at that price, still holding out for a 27" though, as a 30 will be a bit too big for the distance I sit from screen.

...and they are back for £799 :(

Emailed them yersterday asking about the HZ27Wa. No word yet. But I guess it will be some time since the HZ27Wb isn't here either. Anyhow the only interesting model is the HZ27Wa. wide gamut + matte is a dealbreaker

Just hope the HZ27Wa's will come with a dvi -> miniport adapter

From what i've been told the HZ27Wa (standard gamut, W-LED, glossy) could be a fair away off as there's still issues regarding compatibility with DisplayPort > DVI that Hazro mentioned earlier in this thread. not heard a release date for the HZ27Wb (wide gamut, matte, CCFL) yet but i was told just before Christmas that it would be announced very soon so i expect it's not far off

Just hope the HZ27Wa's will come with a dvi -> miniport adapter

they should come with an adapter to allow connection to majority of graphics cards using DVI, but that compatibility is the issue it seems

Hi all,

Just reveiced my HZ30Wi couple of days ago. Very clear and even picture, no dead pixels (only a quick check). But now I got similar problem with Phoenixdancer. It goes as follows:

The monitor worked fine on the first day evening. Total time of use 1 hour.

The second day the monitor worked fine for half an hour, after which it went black and started blinking orange and green light on Power On button.

Turning monitor and computer off and on resumed the backlight on for like 10 seconds, after which it went black. After few tries, the monitor started flashing backlight few times on boot after going black again. Around 30 minutes of trying, the monitor went completely dead. No backlight flashing or even any light at Power On button anymore. Pressing Power On button on monitor side didn't do anything. Curiously, green led inside the monitor is still on and windows detects the monitor (as a Plug&Play thought, ATI Control Center detects it correctly as Hazro) and even stretches the desktop on it (I have dual monitor setup).

Night off and turn on, the monitor turns on and picture stays on for 10 seconds (Bios boot + windows loading start), after which backlight dies again and Power On light starts flashing green and orange.

The monitor has also been tested with a second computer with no effect, completely dead.

Any ideas?

Computer specs:
Windows XP SP3
ATI Radeon 3850 AGP or NVIDIA 7800GS AGP

Sounds like a dead screen to me, Katanaq. Since it's still detected in Windows, and behaves as if it were working, I would guess at a backlight power failure. But who knows...

Talk to overclockers about an RMA I suppose.

Got a HZ30Wi for Christmas and I had similar issues to what Katanaq described.

Monitor works fine for a minute or 2 then screen goes black with the led blinking orange.

Thought it was having problems as I was using it as a secondary monitor. Tried it as a primary monitor, same thing.

This happened for about 3 hours on 2 different pcs. *extreme frustration followed*

I could hear a very slight buzzing noise coming from the back of the monitor.

I switched it off, left it for 20 minutes and tried again.

It has been working decently for the past 10 days and is being used as a secondary monitor with my zr30w.

Not sure what was wrong with it, but glad it resolved itself. Hope nothing inside it is faulty/about to die.
Also I can't hear the buzzing noise any more.

Rara

Ok some more tests today evening.

Every time I boot, it shows a picture now. It dies during load to windows, after like 10-15 seconds. It dies during static screen at bios too. Once during a "cold" boot, I got to windows for like half a minute.

Otherwise, a great screen!
