Correct, internal mic has been fine, people have been able to hear me even with the roof down.
The IBUS interface is very handy/cool btw. Needs to be configured to your preferences of course but once done, quite need:

my pdc currently arent working but does it integrate with those too, i understand you need the ibus license etc

Yup as long as you have the IBUS interface then it all works via the IBUS app that launches automatically.

may try and sell the xtrons to recoup a bit of the cost in that case, if people can hear you with the roof down i should be ok in a coupe

It has a 3.5mm mic jack at the back too of course so you could plug in any mic with a 3.5mm plug if you so wished, but I've never done so even on the old unit.

Just IBus-enabled my car over the weekend.
Great bit of kit. I bought the dongle from ModBMW since it was 40euros cheaper than the Resler interface.
Still playing around with the setup but, so far so good.

Which unit do you have? the only thing I cant get away with my xtrons is the bt calling, might try a different external mic first

You mean the radio unit? It's an A-Media Auto PX5 that was already in the car when I got it. Old but does the job

Just bought the ibus dongle and license its pretty cool, only problem I have at the moment is the PDC screen when I open the doors there the wrong way around, i'm sure there is a setting to swap them but I cant find it? not related to this but my passenger mirror drops in reverse but for some reason I have to have the switch set to drivers side to work???

Yeah you have to set the car settings in the app to right hand drive! I forgot exactly where it is but it's def there!

Oh yeah that's right, at the moment ibus thinks you're left hand drive, when that's set to rhd, the switch will swap too.

i'll take look later, like all the little customisations you can code such as DRL and multi indicator blinks etc, i set the coming home lights but it started doing some mad flashing of all the lights looked like a old disco scene

just been out and cant find the way to swap it but will keep looking, the mirror button doesnt appear to work either on mine for some reason but the mirror still automatically drops when selecting reverse, the joys of old cars I guess

I'll dig out the email ibus dev sent me with some instructions as I had questions on this too which will sort that out tonight!

Just checked, my Q&A with them was regarding the coming home/leaving lights when you lock/unlock the car and some settings related to the Resler module stuff, not LHD/RHD - I must have found that in the IBUS app myself when trawling.
I will have a look in the app when I am next in the car as it is def in there to swap LHD/RHD, unless you find it before then.

Thanks for looking anyway, ive set the locking to work but need to look at the coming home function etc as mine goes mad
