I think the head is sitting somewhere saying "Come back here you chicken, I can still Bite you to Death"
 
I'm just waiting for the posting of a beheading video on t'internet! Then again though, those buggers normally rest the head onto the bodies back and generally dump it along with the corpse.
 
Maybe he just took the lid of a pack of Tic-tacs & tried to down the lot in one go.

no because he could have been poisened and then beheaded, to hide the poisening or something.
 
I know this is random, but I wonder if the use of a duvet would insulate the body and so make the time of death more difficult to establish.

Also, is it my imagination, or does it look like what is left of the poor individual is sitting up.

I would imagine they can do tests which factor in the environment the body started to decay in.
