Well I am going to take a wild guess here and say - extremely reliant - seeing as the whole place has been shut all day.

Ridiculous situation - critical infrastructure seemingly without any credible back -up plans vulnerable to the loss of one sub-station.

Here we are at 4pm and counting and the dear old National Grid are currently "working to get a 2nd back-up generator on line" .
