Im kind of 50/50 with the increase in sprint speed. On the one hand i like it as the original jogging speed felt a bit cumbersome, but i also find there isnt any intertia to stop people zig zagging all over the place. I do think (and have done for some time) that they should have kept the original pace as it was but added the ability to sprint at 15% faster for a limited time (maybe 5 seconds or something).
As for the maps, i do like Driel, it looks good, runs well and is definetely a welcome addition. As for El Alamein...... dislike it. I knew as soon as i spawned in for the first time it was going to be a sniper / mg haven. Whether historically accurate or not, more cover wouldnt go amiss, plus it isnt that well optimized.
 
I wouldn’t bet on it :p majority of times you see enemies or get killed, it’s because the player is either silhouetting themselves or moving. Movement is a killer in this game, using cover is essential and if you think enemies are near, simply stop moving.

I'm on holiday for a week now, but hop on for the server seeding event tonight if you're free and squad up, say to SmiteyBlighty or TenSecond your just getting back into it and ask to squad up with them because Mega says so :p

Played tonight and had your server in my favorites but couldnt find it?
 
Try the actual Steam server search, not the in-game one. I find it works a lot better adding to favourites on that. Keep the game open, tab out, find a server one that and hit connect, open the game and it's loading in usually.

But shocker as Team17 stick their foot in it :rolleyes:
 
The hell has happened to performance in this game ? It always ran a bit crap but first time playing in several months and I’m getting 40fps with a 3080 on Carentan running 3440x1440. Lowering the graphics settings makes no difference, reminds me of arma multiplayer and how frame rate was always dictated by server rather than your actual settings.
