Helldivers 2

Absolutley loving this so far, started playing it the other day - what a blast, haven't had this much fun in years.

Only level 9 at the moment, but might spend the day grinding that **** once I've done my chores :D

Same here. Initially I wasn't that set on the idea but a friend convinced me after I'd had a tipple.

So glad I did, as you say it's just pure fun! I've since convinced another two friends to buy and we're having a blast. Even when things are going wrong it's usually entertaining, and the exhilaration of completing higher level difficulties is something else.

There are so many small details that add to the whole, and the atmosphere is incredible.

Bleary eyed today as I was up until 1am, playing on Extreme (Suicide Mission is my usual level, though it may be time to try impossible).

Playing on one of the planets earlier with fire tornados, dense smoke and fog and myself and a team mate with flame throwers with bugs just charging out of the smoke and onto our flame throwers LOL and all you could hear was the sounds of bugs all around us as more and more waves came in.

Yes! We also did some missions on a planet affected by those (got fried by then twice when I got careless), one that has a fiery gas giant in the sky. Incredibly immersive, especially when you're caught amongst zee bugs.

Has anyone encountered the flying ones yet?
 
Has anyone purchased the og premium warbond? Steeled veterans is it called? Are the guns worth it?

I have not! I've seen the new bug nest tower (at least i think its new?!) but not the new bug

Most of the weapons are ok. I like the SG-225IE Incendiary Breaker, lots of ammo, shreds at close range but it's more for having an option than anything else. None of them are OP. Sickle on the new warbond is better imho. However some of the other items in Steeled Veterans are good, Tyrant hunter is my favourite cape and the flexible reinforcement budget reduces the cooldown when you've run out which can be useful.
 
I picked this up as well after all the hype its getting.

It's a bit basic I reckon, but cannot deny it is quite fun, quite a chill game particularly compared to PUBG.

Looking forward to the upgrade grind.
 
Not having any fun with this today. None of my usual group are around, so tried jumping into games with randoms. No-one seems to be fighting against bots, my preference, so bugs it is... Connectivity issues preventing me joining some games, eventually get into a difficulty 6 mission. Just about get it completed, then the host switches it up to 8 and we just die over and over with nothing to throw at the constant stream of Bile Titans chasing us. Host leaves after we fail the mission.
Join on another random game, lagging to the point where I thought they'd removed the ability for the Autogun to close biter nests, but eventually a bunch blew up 10 seconds later. Go an do radar objective, interact to turn the dish and just get stuck unable to turn it or let go. Wait 2 minutes for a bug to kill me... We finish the mission and extract, only for the game to hang and never get us back to the ship.

Sigh.

Had a host last night constantly TKing people.

Executed him just before the shuttle to then get kicked but it left without him
Didn't realise he was the host, kicks need to be vote kick.

Am I be unreasonable to say everyone who is lvl 50 already seems an absolute ****?
