I play on the 1 below Helldive (number 8)

I've not played on Helldive difficulty

We've got it on three separate PC's in our house and no one is having this issue. Might be worth troubleshooting other things, unloading other things potentially interfering with it.

Any time you launch you'll quickly be joined by randoms, but as you get in to the higher difficulty levels it really helps to be on comms. There is an official discord and from there there are several LFG discord servers set up, you don't need to join an actual clan or whatever, you can just jump on discord and find a squad.

I would recommend starting the match yourself because then you can kick deliberate team killers and it also prevents you from being kicked and there's nothing more annoying than playing 40 minutes and then being kicked for no reason or an accidental TK (e.g. turrets). This only seems to happen at the very highest levels and to be honest doing the top 2 difficulties with randoms is not very conducive to success anyway. Conversely deliberate team killing seems to happen more at the lowest levels with very low level players.

Overall this is one of the least toxic games I've played, generally the community is really positive and helpful.

It's a bit boring on your own, totally playable but it's not nearly as fun as playing with a group. And then 10x more fun playing with a group of friends/people you get on with.
 
I've played a good deal with Randoms. Its a pretty good experience and I have found most people to be in good spirits and cooperative. That's not to say that it hasn't been frustrating at times when people go off and do their own thing, but that's to be expected now and again.
 
Well I took the plunge, I figured I could refund if it wasn’t for me. I’m loving it so far. Haven’t got a clue what I’m doing, just following some other randoms. Had a little frustration when they wouldn’t reinforce for ages.

I feel like without my auto pistol secondary I'll be ruined by most of those flying/gap closing bugs though - but the grenade pistol sounds like a lot of fun.

I wasn’t aware of any way of dealing with them besides mashing the V button :D
